The second modernization in 1939 added an additional two quadruple torpedo launchers and enhanced light anti-aircraft armament with the introduction of the Type 96 25mm gun. The aircraft catapults were upgraded to handle heavier floatplanes and the torpedo bulges were enlarged to increase stability. The class would receive upgrades during the Second World War to reflect the growing threat of aircraft in the form of numerous Type 96 25mm gun and air and surface search radar, Myōkō eventually receiving 52 25mm autocannons in various single, double, and triple mounts. The two aft quadruple torpedo mounts were removed in 1944 to allow for the growing number of anti-aircraft armament. Love your work Spartan

It's not a gun boat... think of the IJN cruisers as their destroyer counter part and play them as such. They are hit and run concealment driven ships. Their concealment helps the captain determine the engagement as well as why the torps are located at the rear. As for the alpha strike and fire chance of the HE. Hit disappear drop torps hit. Rinse repeat. They aren't dodgy gun boats as they cannot take the pounding of anything larger than 356mm at range. Believe me this is my favorite line and been waiting for the Zao since this game has released. In today's meta concealment for this line is essential. GL Captains.
Myōkō was laid down at the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal on 25 October 1924, launched and named on 16 April 1927 in a ceremony attended by Emperor Hirohito, and was commissioned into the Imperial Japanese Navy on 31 July 1929. Although the first ship in her class to be laid down, she was the third to be completed.

Hey spartan have you seen Godzilla minus one even if it’s a Godzilla movie it has one of the coolest use of naval ships Godzilla even fights with the takeo in it it’s one of the coolest brawls of the movie the takeo’s guns firing on Godzilla was awesome
My biggest problem with this ship is that the angle you have to give the enemy to get a full broadside of is ridiculous like you have to be almost full broadside to the enemy no matter if pushing or kiting away
Also can you show default commanders that we can use with there inspirations in the path to videos so for ua who dont have the commanders shown can help alot good video by the way

Myoko is good except the fact for can’t dodge and because of that and it’s armor it gets ☢️ by battleships and cruisers. Actually, that’s like most of the Japanese cruisers.

Fun fact: the first time Myoko encountered a Cleveland class cruiser, she got confused and rammed a friendly destroyer.
