Thanks for putting this on here! I'm doing a talent showcase in January and I had been looking for some of Fibber's alliterative monologues to do! I learned this yesterday!
@lukek1949 funnily, I thought I was commenting on a clip from an episode of THE FIBBER MCGEE AND MOLLY SHOW! 😆😆😆 However, I have also learned this for the singing portion of the talent show, so thank YOU too! 😁
Thank you for listening to my version of Figaro's song from The Barber of Seville! I appreciate your feedback and understand that the key of C major might be a bit high for some vocal ranges. Rossini indeed composed the piece in C major, and while I don't have control over the original key, I completely understand that it might not be the most comfortable for all bass/baritones to sing along. Your tessitura is probably in a lower range. It's worth noting that musical instruments and tuning standards have evolved over time, and you bring up an interesting point about historical pitch. Instruments in Rossini's time were indeed tuned slightly lower than today's standard. While there's no one-size-fits-all solution, you might find success by exploring transpositions or alternative versions of the song that better suit your vocal range.

Well chosen! This masterpiece, with its tongue twisting lyrics, when done well, is absolutely awe-inspiring!

Anche per è lo stesso. Ma ci sono programmi che consentono di abbassarlo di mezzo tono o di un tono.
