My first J-Pop song is MIWA : Kataomoi (片想い) release in 2012. and always be in my top list song from that time on. another one is "Anata ga Koko ni Ite Dakishimeru Koto ga Dekiru Nara" just a name can make me remember at first time i see. It very long one. 🤣
Never heard those songs before. Also for me the first JPOP song I heard is Beginner from AKB48, the groups is very popular when I heard them and is still popular today. There have been a lot of media relating to the group, including 2 anime series and a manga

The company is in Korea and the group is practicing under Korean culture, so it's K-POP instead of J-POP, right?
@@user-rp3ew8cb3r You may not know, that most companies that train Korean idol bands have been learning from the idol culture of Japan themselves for a long time (typically Johnny's 's groups).

Niziu isn't actually Jpop, they're Kpop with Japanese members in it
Korea categorizes NiziU as JPop b/c the group doesn't promote heavily in Korea.

Niziu is very much part of the Kpop industry. Korean company, trained in Korea and most importantly music produced by Korean producers
@@handel1111 Do YOU listen to JPop? Obviously you don't, because you're prejudiced what JPop really is. JPop isn't just anime music or "kawaii cute girls" music like most KPop stans think. There's so many genres that make up JPop: rock, r&b, hip-hop, pop, jazz, traditional - it's just music in the Japanese language. There's a lot of JPop girl groups similar to NiziU, like Morning Musume, Juice=Juice, =LOVE, Little Glee Monster, and more.
If NiziU releases songs originally in Korean and promotes them primarily in Korea, the girls speak only Korean, target audience is the Korean general public, and appears on Korean TV, commercials and events, then yes, I can consider them KPop. If they sing only in Japanese and speaks only Japanese in Korea, then they're going to get a lot of hate from the Korean public. Hell, Japanese (and all others who aren't Korean) KPop idols get a lot of hate from the Knetz, you think they'll accept an all-Japanese group like NiziU as a KPop group?! The only appearance they have in Korea is KCON Summer 2022. That's it.
NiziU songs are primarily Japanese, the girls speak in Japanese, promotes primarily in Japan, appears in Japanese TV shows, commercials, and major events, and obviously targets the Japanese audience, therefore they are a JPop group.
Korea categorizes them as JPop. The rest of the world also categorizes them as JPop. Streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music have them categorized as JPop. Even JYP considers them as JPop.
Why is it that KPop stans want to discredit all-Japanese groups as KPop just because they're under a Korean company?! Everglow is under Yuehua, a Chinese company. We should consider Everglow as a CPop group then, according to your logic.

I dont hate NiziU, their music is fine, but no, it's not J-pop, it's bascially K-pop in Japanese language. There's not even a slightlest piece of J-pop pattern in NiziU, they are trained in Korea, under a Korean company and their music is made by Korean composers, just because it's Japanese language doesnt mean it's J-pop. And yes, I know Japanese people do love NiziU, but that doesn't have anything to do with the state that their music isnt J-pop.
saying this make me remember about Mili, a Japanese band that not only made in Japanese but also English, Chinese,... Despite that, their other languages songs still have the pattern of Japanese. You can check their songs to know more about what I mean, yeah anyway as I say, you cant just say that a song has the pattern of a country's music industry just because it's lyrics is written in that language (all the foreign language covers will be ridiculous if you genuinely state like that)
