Which great-sword is that, please? Looks like one my Cap is using now as a cosmetic that has a brownish grip wrapping. This one has a nice teal wrapping.
Hey bud I'm currently playing cappy, I was wondering if you could do a new guide for U39 for 2024 for red/buff cappy/ damage/solo and buffs or end game kinda thing thanks
Hey, I'm not really much active on youtube these days, so any guides are unlikely. My discord server is the place to go to if you want to learn about the game. Links in description or look up ghyniverse lotro.
The new Cap may be fine at higher levels but on Fearless on Angmar in full purple crafted you'll still get your butt handed to you by wraiths. Pretty sad that a supposedly primarily healer line can't keep himself alive.
My main is a solo red captain. Looks like the rotations are going to change quite a bit. At least we kept all our trees, unlike Warden and Minstrel. The 5min cooldown ability is pretty silly and useless for redline.
@@EvanSnowWolf I have yet to play lots of red captain with the new update, but if you ask in the captain thread in my discord server, you will probably get some feedback :)
Physical Mastery should in theory increase the valour, but I think the best approach to blue captain is to just go sword and board and just get outgoing healing/critical rating and then mits.
@@ghynghyn4706 I mean, I wish I could just 2h tank as a yellow cappy. They could fix that by giving a flat damage and health boost by just wearing 2h weapons so people can choose between the two. Otherwise, it's a slog leveling with yellow due to the low damage.
My first thought, every time I come back to lotro and it's been at least since mirkwood was introduced that I played seriously and did raids, is, wtf do I do? As a filthy casual I find the game overwhelming and the videos, while informative, are primarily for those who never really stopped playing.
I think tank yellow cap gonna be very good....what is your opinion? I would like to see dps tanks and healers tier lists and how these revamps affected it!
now to convince people to take a blue captain for that SoD, but one thing i'm curious about, it seems ycappy was nerfed a little, dont see much improvements tbh, and the 100% damage on our keystone skill is just stupid, as a ycappy, we have no use for damage, would have been better off giving us either more mitigations or reduced inc dmg, 100% ontop of the already massive 5k dps we usually contribute seems kind of useless, and if they mean it as an aggro builder, good luck competing against 500-600k hunters on damage threat
Yellow tanks bonuses suck, blue line Champion is superior, they need to really help Yellow Capt reduce damage taken especially since we do only 60% of the Champions Damage even Blue Line Champ can push far more dps and all while getting passive damage mitigation.
@@lustfordie It's possible that the best approach for captain healer will be a 2h weapon. The reason for this is that your "Valour" heals that heals your shield brother from hitting your melee skills will increase with the amount of damage you deal. If the increase in Valour healing isn't that big from using 2h vs shield and board then obviously shield and board wins because of extra stats.
@@ghynghyn4706 yeah I understand what u saying but u will not have dps traceries on u as healing cappy..u will have aoe h/c and hot/c maybe some single target heal ones..so I dont see him doing much dps even with 2h with these traceries on ? maybe I am wrong ?
@@lustfordie Yeah, only testing will show if it's worth using 2h. You are right in that you will be getting heal WoP for healing captain, and it will be very hard to slot physical mastery as well.
nop, Currently he's a nice tank in Yellow line for group and for his buffs on Red, as a secondary healer he still "meh" , and they made some weird changes in Red line
@@vladescu3g yes i do. most other classes can usually only do 1 role maybe 2 captain can do all 3! no wonder their damage is garbage it makes sense now
it would really be fun if they give the captain the ability to summon the skirmish soldier for free as a trait when the player in not in a fellow ship

The reports from BR2 is that red captain is doing very good damage numbers right now.
Did you settle on a rotation?

So with the Blue line Velour skill, what stat will scale my healing? Strength and Phy mastery?
Physical Mastery should in theory increase the valour, but I think the best approach to blue captain is to just go sword and board and just get outgoing healing/critical rating and then mits.
@@ghynghyn4706 I am wondering if I can have 1 gear set for both Red and Blue lines and only have to swap 1 LI
@@tedb3852 I haven't really looked into this, but I feel like you need to have unique LIs for both blue and red.
thx for video mate
thank you so much for this!!! patch notes too long xD
Is it correct for me to assume that the objective is to make Yellow captains 2h tanks?
I don't necessarily think that is the main goal, no, but it seems like they are looking at giving it some more damage than it currently has.

@@DragonSlayerCommentariesHQ Yeah, currently you just lose a lot of stats by going 2h. Shields have a lot of useful stats on them.
coming back to lotro after a while to pick up my main again (captain) and i gotta ask, WHERE DID YOU GET THAT SICK ASS MASK?!
Not a mask. Back when that Captain was just a boy he was making faces despite the warnings from his parents that his face might get stuck that way....

In blue, which melee attacks specifically are the ones that heal your shield-brother proportionally to the damage they deal?
I can't say for sure, but most melee skills are tied to the valour mechanic
are you on bullroarer? mine says hes closed, yours not?
This was recorded from the first bullroarer of U35. Next bullroarer should open tuesday or wednesday.

again I look at the captain. I can't live without him. Any news? Should we expect good damage in solo? Can you compare with another class?
