    The US economy is flying high and should continue to do so. It has defied the past two years’ widespread expectations that it would land hard or fall into recession. In fact, last year’s real GDP growth of 3.1% matched the 48-year average. Fiscal stimulus has helped, but the major engine has been robust consumer spending as Baby Boomers spend their wealth. With consumption per household near its record high, Americans have never been better off. … Corporate America is thriving too, with record cash flow, capital spending, and profits. … Plus, inflation by some measures is at the Fed’s 2% target.

    It seems everyone is still relying too heavily on the charts now. Imho, when the ETF's stepped into Crypto it changed the game. The Bitcoin Baby has been born and will grow up fast. The Crypto Market now has a rubber stamp of approval. Wall Street is in the game now and It will become the store of value we have been talking about. The rules are already changing. We would have normally had a corrective retrace by now, yet Bitcoin has been steadily rising. The name of the game is getting out with profit, but when exactly to get out this Super Cycle is going to be a tricky one. It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady...managed to grow a nest egg of around 3.4Bitcoin to a decent 18Bitcoin in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Linda Wilburn, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

    I've spend only a semester studying economics at what's supposed to be the best economics school in my country (decided to stick with medicine and finished that), went through lots of books and lectures for later years but none of them have been nearly as real and applicable (that's why I dropped out it) as those webcasts. Great work, and it's unbelievable how many dummies otherwise pretend to be wise regarding those matters. Also good to know that Max being bullish means for "Bullish until the end of the week";)

    AI is not a consumer play. It's an enterprise play. AI as we refer to it now is generally an LLM. Code is a language with no slang and easy for an LLM to predict. That's why enterprise is investing so heavily into compute. That's why tech has so many layoffs. Incidentally, SMCI now sells a multi-story cooling tower designed specifically to cool data racks in these enormous data centers. Build out right now is at a fever pitch. Data centers don't need health insurance and they work 24 hours shifts ;)

    I agree about interest rates and would not mind being able to continue to collect interest on savings accounts (money market).

    Dr Ed, could you share some words of wisdom on Uranium (ETF:URA) as well? - I believe it would fit your normal programming schedule given how you recommend energy stocks for diversification, and how you tracks oil/copper as indicators of economic activity, esp. in China. And related to your spike in oil energy recommendations: IPPs, such as CEG, VST, NRG - I'm reading through their K10s, but doubt they will explain their recent stratospheric rise, what's your take on it?

    Did you say us households spend 128,000 dollars per year? Ummm isn't the median income like 60,000?

    • @citizen320
      @citizen320 3 місяці тому +1

      Per household. Not per person. Median income for 2022 was $75k. With 2 or incomes it doesn't take long for a household to reach the level he's referring to. And as with all averages, half the sample will hold it down.

    I don't know why people think that internal company data is any more valid than internet at large. Having worked for some of the largest companies in the world, I assure you - it's more inaccurate, outdated, and filled with gaps and made up numbers as anything

    I heard quite a lot of double speaks particularly on AI. He was disappointed on ChatGPT, but then AI will drive productivity up? How? and then jumping right on to win-win-win conclusion.
    I am skeptical.

    Mr. Yardeni. I am a boomer. 68 and retired. But still working. I have several rental homes.
    You said something on Adam Taggert’s , Thoughtful Money that really rang true.
    You said that pay has gone up 1.4% about every year since 1996 and that wages have doubled.
    Sir that was my experience. But all I hear is the wage gap is growing wider.
    There is a lot of disinformation out there and listening to you was a breath of fresh air for me.
    I look forward to seeing more of your content

    "As of March, the number of employed foreign-born workers climbed to a fresh record high of 31.1 million. BLS data. Foreign-born workers' labor force participation rate was 65.9% last month. Comparatively, the participation rate for native-born workers was 62%. [Net immigration growth] is adding to the pool of American workers, and those immigrants are bringing some productivity gains with them in technological innovation and refinements,” Brett House, professional practice professor at the Columbia Business School." Ed. Where can you find data that breaks down this 65.9% by industry or business sector? Implied is that the majority of foreign-born workers are highly skilled.
