Terry Matalas did an amazing job on Picard's final season with less money (and no Kurtzman interference) so I hope he carries that success over to the Vision series, but it is Disney Marvel, so I won't get my hopes up too high.

When I met Joe Jusko at Chicago Comicon in the 90s, I had him sign Marvel Team Up 128. It’s a photo cover of Spider-Man and Captain America on a rooftop, and Jusko is wearing the Cap costume, so it’s an actual photo of him.

When I was in college in the early 90's we used to go every quarter to ToysRus and buy books like x-factor 92, wolverine 50, spawn #1 and decorate our apartment walls! .15 or 2/.25! Its funny to think people are paying actual $$$ now! 😂

Call it the comic book price hike.
Supply and demand created an artificial price hike and the over paying for comics. Trying to wait out this storm has cost flippers dearly. Losing 60-90 percent on comics will create another comic book industry collapse or crisis.
The market is still artificially inflated and now saturated with graded comics.

That Byrne run on She Hulk was a great read.
Yes, I followed him over to Fantastic Four starting at 265 and enjoyed She-Hulk's time with them, too.
@@TomasRagarin I loved that period from Byrne, even Alpha Flight. He did need a top tier inker to really shine though as he was juggling so much stuff his pencils were fairly sketchy. Put in comparison, he was writing inking and drawing 3 books a month at one point vs say Art Adams (great artist) who had half a year off as soon as he got paid for a project. Thats not a diss, work life balance and all that but John was proflic in his output.
that XM second printing in my city sold too quick so $12 isn’t even that bad, it’s a low print run so far

I don't buy anything Marvel or DC made today. The stories are worse than fan fiction. I think it's hilarious that you are drooling over some independent comics just because some of the covers were done by an artist when most fans ignored them on the stand. Most fans don't spend hundreds of dollars for a comic. Unless you live in a city with tons of wealthy people don't try to buy comics as an investment. Most wealthy fans bought multiple copies of books they love and don't need to spend thousands for a book.

I realised that reading comics as an adult is like chasing the dragon. Youre trying to recapture that magic you felt reading comics as a child, but its never going to live up to expectations. This is why I stopped buying comics and just read my old ones from when I was a kid if I want a nostalgia hit.
Great fun video. In my opinion - not a boom - a blip. Meme stocks, NFTs, bit coin, collectibles; folks are still losing money who are holding. It was a great time to sell - now it’s a fantastic time to buy back with a lot of patience at auction. Thanks for the video guys.

Plus there was just news about two of my favorite writers joining the writing staff of the Lanterns show! I'm beyond excited (duh) and yeah, once all of this DC stuff gets closer, we'll see it make the list for sure.
...but you could always be ahead of the curve and try and find Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow now, before it gets any harder to find! Great read, and it'll be equally great onscreen.
