The last scene is the best thing that’s happened after season 1
Archie only rejected Betty in season 1 not because he didn’t feel the same way but he was in a problematic relationship with the teacher and then Veronica and it confused him. Because when Varchie admitted their relationship to Betty and she gave their blessings, the scene after with Barchie, Archie was about to say something like ‘I always thought it’d be us’ - and he had this long look on his face like he did have feelings for Betty but they now moved on past that.
Season 4, so glad they are now building up Barchie’s relationship up again I always knew it’d be since season 1. All I ask is that they are endgame🤞❤️

I know that Betty wouldn’t want to hurt Jughead or Veronica and same with Archie. So if they are actually going to go somewhere with this and take it seriously, the writers have to be smart about it (so idk how much I trust the writers cuz I want it to be done right.) Handle it with sensitivity and compassion. Have it feel as organic and natural as possible. And they have great onscreen chemistry so I know the actors can do it justice but the writers I’m not so sure. And if this is another tease/trolling thing and it gets fucking dropped like in season 2, that’ll be a fucking crime and just goddamn cruel. Not to mention stupid and lazy. If your not going to ACTUALLY do something with it, then LET IT GO. And STOP teasing because it’s fucking tired.

So, to all the haters around here... The next BIG Storyline of this Show WILL BE Barchie. 4 seasons nie we have to witness the same relationships. IT's enough. I like the ships tho. But something must change. Everyone thought that the Top Storyline of season 4 will be Jugheads dead. But in episode 15 we learned that it's 'over'. We have 7 episodes left and it will continue with this Storyline but there will also be (finally) the Barchie Story. Every season there is a big Cliffhanger. This time I think it will be stretched till the end and then there will be Barchie. Reasons why: 1. The texting scene came right AFTER the Jughead return. -> (First) Bughead and Varchie scenes -> (After) Barchie scene. That means something man 2. The romantic music in the Background of this scene 3. The Barchie kiss was planed but the feelings Were there in this scene. 4. Archie is smiling and thinking... To all the Bughead stans. I like them as well but you got that for 4 seasons now. Time for something new

Alice Cheshire it’s a show though, writers are prolly going to explore other ships because clearly there are people who ship other people together other than just bughead. Yes Ik bughead is like the biggest ship on the show but they’re gonna have to give a chance to others too. People who don’t ship bughead literally have to watch them all 4 seasons already. And then when we get one ep of barchie content, bugheads are threatening to stop watching the freakin show. Calm down, drama will happen on shows, it’s nothing new. Ships aren’t the only important thing on the show, it’s the plot too. Yeah it’s part of it but the drama is always included. So I think threatening to stop watching the damn show is stupid. I don’t think some of us even stopped, even if we didn’t get what we wanted until this recent ep.

Archie and Betty have that soulmate connection even tho they’re both in relationships they will always have those special and secret feelings for each other we just have to wait and see if those feelings finally fully come out.
Like any show, especially about teenagers, they should be exploring different relationships. Not all couples are endgame, and I’m not even saying Barchie might be, but considering the canon with the comics, the show should have a better exploration of Barchie too. I mean, we got to see Veronica and Reggie (who I still believe had undeniable chemistry), and it’s not even fan service anymore. It’s like what the story calls for - and eventually when everyone goes their separate ways or when the storyline develops, I’d be surprise if these characters cling on to their relationships.
So Bughead and Varchie may or may not be endgame. But don’t ruin the exploration of other ships (i.e. Barchie) for other fans, just because yours goes on a hiatus.
