I am one of them. I have heard just the acoustic version so far, but this surpassed my expectations. No wonder so many people write here that this is one of their all time favorite songs. I don´t know why, but it reminds me of my high school times, and it feels nostalgic for me. It creates really strong emotions. Absolutely amazing stuff.

I've literally been trying to rediscover song this for almost ten years. I didn't know the artist or title and I only remembered the words "I can't sleep," which didn't help much. I'm overjoyed to find this, it's just as magical as I remember!! Quintessential trance as I grew to know it in college.

Hah, happens to too. Made it a habit to go find this song whenever I wake up at night and it is exactly 4:30am.
Happens more often than what is indicating a healthy amount of stress.

it's a shame how popular genres of music like trance is headed more into the EDM scene. trance doesn't seem to be as good nowadays like years ago compared to the classic trance days in the early 90's.. this is a classic :)

l337z0r lol wut? Trance is a sub-genre of EDM. Just like dubstep,trap,night core,techno,house,drum and base,grime and others of those sorts there are a lot of them. I'm guessing you're just on of those fan boys that just jumped on the bandwagon.
Kevin Joy Sorry, but EDM nowadays means: BIG ROOM, Electro and Progessive House, mostly. Just look at any media and you will see the term EDM being refered, in majority of cases, to the pop culture of eletronic music (read "Tomorrowland music" on that). 95% of kids that goes to festivals nowdays have no background in eletronic music, so I prefer to keep them apart of real listeners...
Tomorrow land is full of new gen fanboys and I'm not saying that isn't EDM. Just letting you know that EDM has tons of sub genres and this is still considered a part of EDM

I've been a fan of EDM, especially trance and vocal trance, since '99 and this is one of the songs that brings back the most memories. This one club that I went to, a lot of their headliner shows, they had the stage out in the ballet parking lot so we would be able to look up at the stars and feel the breeze in her face and it just made that moment even more Zen.
The acoustic version of this is absolutely mesmerizing

They still have some good tunes. Making Plans and Little Something make the tears flow for sure, great songs. But stuff like Blue Sky Action? Sticky Fingers? Fly to New York? Ouch. I could do without it, it's pretty sad when you compare it to the Tri-State era.
Then again, Tony Paavo and Jono always put all of their soul into their music. You can hear that when you listen to the acoustic versions of their new material. So I can't really fault them for it.
The songs you are referring to are completely different genre compared to what A&B was making 5 years ago. It's OK if you like those songs but it can't be compared to tunes like can't sleep, good to me, you got to go, etc which have all been on many "best vocal trance of all time" lists.
Who knows, maybe A&B will go back to their roots but it is highly unlikely. Once a musical group takes a huge step into a different direction they rarely ever go back.
