      Leondria Gordon-Godfrey I've sat through individual box braids and with all my thick ass hair, yes it takes forever but I think the regular crotchet method would still be better and save more time. This really seems like a lot especially for someone with a lot of hair.

    i loved it and i do hair too so this will save alot of time. those that are complaining need to chill. she showing yall another method to help save you 2 3 extra hours of work. if you feel the steps was too much then find a way to make it your own..you dont have to do it the same way she did. this way just works for her. she gave you the idea now you make it your own. simple as that.

    Thank God there are new methods for putting in braids. People are out here walking around BALD after spending their money and sitting for hours to have braids installed. This is a much simpler method I can tolerate and possibly do myself.I simply vowed to never again get my hair braided because of the pain. Good tutorial.

      I have been doing my teenage daughters hair for 2 years because the pain is so great. Then 6 months ago I discovered this method. So far so good for the health of her hair. I am not a pro but the braids look good and last for months. She is happy with the results and the little pain I cause her.

    Really cute! An hour from the time you start putting in the crocheted braids maybe, but definitely not an hour when one factors in the time that it takes to do the individual plaits.

    These simple styles really help for ppl like me. I have 4 daughters! And paying for hair to be done at the salon is too much these days. When I was growing up box braids were 70-90 dollars. Now your paying no less than $160 and that’s just the starter price for the more simpler braids! But this right here I can DEFINITELY do on my own for 50 bucks and maybe less! I always have the other products i need such as edge gel, hair spray etc. so all I need to do is just purchase the hair! Thank you so much!

      @BijinMCMXC 4 роки тому +5

      This whole process did not take one hour. Maybe the actual installation took one hour, but braiding her hair + installing the crochet braids? There’s no way all of that took only one hour.

    Yass..i ambitiously bought some 30" crochet braid had them installed. They looked great; but i had to take down after 2 wks because they were so heavy...i plan to redo them myself with less hair this time. I like the no cornrow crochet style so will be using this method. Thanks for posting. !!!

    I for one LOVE this tutorial! I don't cornrow that well and I couldn't quite get the box braiding technique down. I like this technique because it doesn't appear to put too much strain on your natural hair. Yes, it does look like double duty but, for us challenged women who want the box-braid look, and want it done cheaply, this is the way to go.

    This is perfect for my ombre hair. I love the hair but hated the idea of throwing it away when the roots grew. I also don't like the cornrows with braids because it always looks too bulky. Now I can reuse the hair and my hair will stay neater longer andddddd. It's a win win. Thank you!

    This took me two days to do. It lasted for about a month. The take down process was even harder, i started at 6pm and ended at 3am. You have to cut the braids at the end, take it unloose, and then you have to take YOUR hair out of those REALLY SMALL braids. Cornrows are painful but easier!

    This only works well when you have the same hair color as the crochet hair. My hair is two toned and unique to any color I ever found in crochets. Right now cornrows work best for me because they help hide my color issue but I love the way your crochets are done. Great idea! 😎

    This looks like a lot of extra work BUT to me it’s less tension on the natural hair & no hard 1st week of sleeping due to the tightness of regular box braids. Ok...I wonder why separate the time it took plating the hair and the time it took crocheting the hair into each plat? Why not add the times together since it's all for that one style.
