This was one of the most viewed TV shows in the world when this was filmed, yet the production office looks like something you'd find at a council rubbish compound!
@@Meton12765 wrong. The BBC offered to spruce their office up but Andy Wilman told them in no uncertain terms to piss off. In his own words he wanted it to feel like a student bedsit
Very late on this but I read in Richard Porter's book that the BBC offered to tidy it all up and make it nice but Andy Wilman told them to fuck off. I think the words were 'I want it to feel like a student bedsit.'
Well duct tape is extremely overlooked and underapriciated item. I was personally surprised to find how many things are able to function thanks to it. Like for example International space station, local hospital etc.
Couldn't even get the Presnters a Hot meal on a long cold day. March 2015 that happened, when was this released? They say...'can't think of what else to talk to you about'...WOW.
It is funny, I've been there, did a moped riding test there, spent the day in fact! I remember it raining down hard, I was stuck in a porta potty waiting the rain out!
£500k is extremely cheap. The guy who plays the doctor gets 300k per episode all to himself and doctor who doesn't even make the BBC as much money as top gear.
+Stephen Dengler The whole point of Top Gear is it was made by a bunch of blokes who don't need all the mod cons. They make what they want to make in an environment that suits them. I can tell you these offices are far nicer then the ones they had a few years ago
+Fraser Hughes but then this "staying true to your roots" goes out the window when one of them goes totally crazy when faced with the prospect of a cold dinner...

@@andrewshelly6804 Sorry for the confusion. I meant what episode they were going to film when they were doing the back stage tour. Someone on Reddit said it was Series 16, Ep. 5 based on the license plate of the BMW.
@Kaushalito i can't remember the exact episode but it was probably s16, one of the tv's is showing something from a news segment after the albania episode
8:40 i now understand the nervous ear touch and laugh of Jeremy when hes saying something he shouldn't haha

Sometimes less is more. Lol
That's BBC production quality for ya. I suspect these are among the various aspects they spent a pretty dime on when moving to Amazon. :D

I think if pirating was included, top gear would be the most watched TV show ever
Can't believe the most popular BBC show's office almost looks like a crack den lmao

Love how the signs on the doors were held in place with duct tape... BBC quality at its best
The BBC has better things to spend its money on. Like protecting pedophiles from justice and premoting Liberal leftist bias.

That's called efficiency sir
I’m just impressed someone didn’t call it “duck tape” 🤣
"That was the House wive's favorite" the crew make the show just as much , I think that's why the new top Gear can never compare.
7:10 , isn't it the guy that Jeremy punched
they were all friends for years
god I can smell the office
I just love how distinctly British everything featured here looks.
4:54 "we've got chris evans... big friend of the show"! :L hahah and 7:12.... the famous osh (or whatever it is)

I noticed that right away lol. I was like that’s awkward
@@316CactusJack How do you know?
Hammond on the phone to his Hollywood dentist!!😁
I always assumed it was filmed in the middle of a bbc production studio in London for some reason. It never crossed my mind it was a massive hangar
7:10 the poor guy who got punched in the face

That awkward moment when they call out Chris Evans, who is now doing a miserable copy of taking over their jobs...
Quit after 25 Minutes. It is truly awful, not bad, but it's trying to live off a Legacy without adding any.
Ngl I was hoping for sting to have pictures of him across the earth on beaches and at the summits of mountains wearing his jumpsuit and helmet
3:02 Hamster has reveal!
Cameron Diaz touching The Stigs helmet there.
That is so sad for a production office. Reminds me of mine offices in Nevada.
The presenters like the seats warmed up!. Lol🤣
Best regards from India.
Id like to go there and everytime they’re done filming an episode with a car walk by and be like”excuse me do you guys still need that”
3:49 What's the pixelated object on top of the trophy cabinet?
Hammond trophy for sexiest presenter, from Ann summers. It’s basically a dildo.
Hammond’s heartthrob of the year award
poor hilary was responsible for bringing up clarkson's search history
How the hell did they spend an avg. of 500k £ each episode and still worked from this rubbish favela?
£500k is extremely cheap. The guy who plays the doctor gets 300k per episode all to himself and doctor who doesn't even make the BBC as much money as top gear.
Look into how much the people alone cost. Never mind the cars, the tech, the retakes, any stunts, h+s, etc etc.
They spent about £5M an episode if my memory serves me rightly
bbc does also take a cut

Spatiouuuuussss! Omg how many acres is your production office
I don't know what is worse historically 2008 or the Oisin episode. Society really experienced some G's heading down hill in both cases..
