- I think you all will get a kick out of this, I remember the first time I heard this at some point I had to ask myself what I was listening to, when you hear this you will know why...
;D
I have uploaded rare out of print and unreleased recordings that are difficult to find, I hope you like them.
Since they are so difficult to find no one should mind me uploading them, if you have issues with me uploading them please send me a message and I will remove them.

Paganini marinated in Gewürztraminer! LOL, Fritz. You can take the man out of Vienna, but you cannot take Vienna out of the man. Love you, Fritz.
This man never faked in his life. His technic was superb. This was his own arrangement. If you think he could not play the origianal version you are delusional.
I love to be able to hear Kreisler play his own arrangement 😍
If it weren't for you I would never have heard this - thanks. It is very unusual and very pretty in some parts. Not only can one hear Kreisler's charm but the effort as well. My teacher told me that he seldom practiced. This is a gem nonetheless.
how amazing... anyway we have quite a few good accurate recordings of authentic Paganini Concerto n1, there is plenty of room for this...room isn't the right word ; this is in a charm of its own and does not need to be justified. It is very charming and elegant
lol he arranged it very romantically but i still adore his playing !
Bravo for posting all these gems ! We need quality over quantity in youtube...
A few words, incredible, fantastic, unexpected and yet fascinating, a magical arrangement of Paganini's concerto!!!
i know no one is going to believe me but thats my great great great great uncle I'm taylor kreisler i swear on my grandmas grave i swear to god I'm not joking
You're related to a great human being - as famous and as talented as he was, he was a very humble, warm fellow, and great philanthropist. I hope I get to meet him some eternity.
For me, it sounds like
Violin Part by: Paganini
Orchestration by: Alan Silvestri
I had to go Google "Alan Silvestri" myself, and I still don'y know him from a hot rock; but as long as you recognize the violin music is unmistakably Paganini, then you are on the right track. :~)
He was such a genius that he cold hold violin and bow like an amateur in his late life. :-)
Of course, if you know how to play, you can see he's not really an amateur. He's just from Vienna. :-)
And he was able to change the first movement of the famous Paganini- Concerto Nr. 1 to something totally different, without changing any important phrase in the violin part, just by changing the orchestral part.
lovely! doesn't look like paganini at all. Its a whole different concreto. A more nordic one...no evil inside. More on the angel side.
I wonder who did the orchestration here, because it's so much more fun than the original (which is cr.p). The orchestra sounds very colorful, like holywood movies orchestras used to sound back then.
Fritz himself.
Fantastic!! There's a music and singing in every part of it. Thank you SO much for posting this.
wish there was a modern day kreisler with a beautiful tone and lots of arrangements/transcriptions/compositions
awwwwww so cute!!! Kreisler is such a genius at "transcription"!! haha
I have never heard such a sense of style and charm in Paganini. Wonderful!
Paganini ,🥇🇮🇷 belleza favorita.
Bloody freaking amazing. Not the golden era perfection we expect now-a-days but still amazing. Plus it's nice to hear an arrangement of Paganini like this. I give it 5 stars. :D
This is so much better than the original!
20______________24. México.
This was a way of introducing Paganini to the public at a time when this concerto was rarely played and almost unknown. The arrangement suited the public taste at the time.
The orchestration is much richer than Paganini's and the interpretation concentrates on musicality rather than virtuosity, which is much more common, especially nowadays
Amante secreto
Yes: musicality. This is so listenable (aside from reproduction limitations)!
Genoa served with a little Viennese cream coffee. You have to admit, Pags needed a little gemütlichkeit in his life. In his music? not sure. It's always fun to listen to Fritz in any case.
As I wrote above, this is totally at the heart of Paganini's mellifluous, pretty tunes with which he filled his compositions.
For those who are too young to listen his live concerts, these recording is probably the most accurate Kreisler sound we could ever find.
Regarding the double stopping of Heifetz and Kreisler, I hear the former play two violins while the latter one string one violin. However, both of them are perfect in intonation.
I seldom listen to old recordings because nostalgia for the stuff you listened to as a wee tot is a killer, but if we're all for it here shortly, why not?
@Kami Neko "wolf cat" im sorry i couldnt resist
Mexico. 🇲🇽 🖐️ Lo amo 😂
So much more musically played than the Ricci version. Anyone know what year this recording was made, please?
1936.
Robotnik77 - thank you for that.
Thank you for posting this-I'm listening to on 29 January! R.I.P. gifted man!
I had read, but not listened to this "Paganini"!Thank you once again!
20--------24. 🎻🇲🇽💞
Es mi Archivo ...
Just AMAZING! I m asking myself the same question as u did now! Thanks so much for uploading this! Thank you! Thank you!
is there a recording of him playing his preludium and allegro. could u upload it please..
No. He never recorded it, unless there's an original matrix in a landfill in New Jersey, which is what happened to many of them when new technology came along making them obsolete. That's why there's only on set of disks from his Bruch g minor session.
It's a precious gem
Bizarre arrangement, but nice to hear Kreisler showcase his technique!
i love this arr. by kreisler
does anybody know if or where i can
get the sheet music to this
orchestral and solo
thx
www.amazon.com/dp/B0882PPTJL?ref=myi_title_dp
Presumably imslp. If not available there (which it doesn't seem to be), probably in some music store or a random site online.

well, then you can be jolly well proud to your great great great great uncle, because he is really great great great great :D
lol what an odd recording! i like this, xD :D
What a clean record..!
that violin is huge O.O
an yidishe paganini.
This is glorious.
The end is somehow missing. But lovely piece.
🖤👑🎻
I just heard the same Kreisler arrangement on a KQED (SanFrancisco PBS) broadcast of "Vienna Philharmonic - summer concert" series. It was
pretty amazing too (and modern sound).
Who was the soloist?
@@ramongcastaneda5308 Probably Benjamin Schmid
😂😂😂
Gracias. México 🇲🇽🎻
haha, this is great :)
Why is the beginning different
All is different.
WOW!

doesn't sound like Paganini at all.
I disagree with that assessment, +Zan Huang. This is totally at the heart of Paganini's mellifluous, pretty tunes with which he filled his compositions. That the excesses introduced by later violinists in a misguided effort to excel through the most grotesque circus acrobatics-as grotesquely exemplified by the likes of Ruggiero Ricci et al.-have molded your limited view of Paganini is the problem.
Imagine if Rakhmaninov (Rachmaninoff) had similarly not recognized this rhapsodic side of Paganini's music, his Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini would have not come to be.
Agreed. Paganini was Italian.
It's Kreisler's altered version of the first concerto
Splendid! This is the closest version to the way Paganini himself played these concertos ... the modern editions and recordings all give a major contribution to the orchestra so that It's closer to a symphony than a violin concerto .. so incredible, so indescribable, so untalkaboutable.
And you know this because you have heard paganini himself play. cool.
dude ure making a fool out of yourself
By making you look like a fool it makes me a fool?
+Al Sh im not talking about ur comment....
+iwanplaepale fu I'm sorry... I just noticed you weren't the original commenter lol. now I really do look a fool.
