The hat you have featured in your video is a vegan suede and really doesn't tell you what it is made out of. Faux suede is usually made from 100% polyester. I was under the impression that the hat should have cotton and wool with low polyester content, if any, because polyester burns easily. Of course faux suede may have other fibers in it. Anyway thank you for your video. I have been sewing clothing, purses, etc for over 30 years . It would be nice if you would tell your viewers which tips you use on your wood burner that you use on the hats you design. Lora S. Irish has a book out, which I ordered at my local library, that tells how to burn cloth. I think this may answer many questions on tips, temperature and types of cloth you can wood burn on. I plan on getting in to the hat burning business.
How do you get your burn to look so dark I go over it but still don’t darken up. and do you know what kind of glitter/chrystals that they use in the hats? Thank you!!

What temp should it be
My wood burner didn’t have temp settings!
Certain hat materials once chalk is drawn on it when you burn on top of it ends up with a nasty white residue
One of the other people who shows videos use pencil which can be erased afterwards.
Not all fabrics allow you to erase the pencil off. I've ruined a couple with pencil

Can you add color to your hats?
Yes you can use craft paint but make sure it's for fabric.
