Yeah used this mod for a while now and it’s a must have... This, and there’s a mod that adds “reputation” so the people of different holds will treat you like a stranger, instead of expelling some lines about their personal life... they’re more like “WHAT?” “Why are you talking to me dude??” “Who tf are you???” ...until you do some quests and become more known.
jonKowalski3210 the religion is mod is wintersun and the other is simply called reputation. It’s actually pretty good, I didn’t expect it to be as impactful and as good as it was.
This mod's author has made quite literally my game's core mods: Ordinator, apocalypse, imperious, thunderchild, smilodon, sacrosanct, summermyst, andromeda and wintersun.
I did a roleplaythrough as a hardworking nord who worshipped Zenithar. He would often be found walking through the plains of Whiterun completeling deliveries and fufilling bounties. Within these plains there are ruins to an old fort and in that fort is a Shrine to Zenithar. He would visit that shrine whenever he could and leave offerings of gold, gems, metals, and jewelry. I used Jaxonz Positioner to ornately decorate the shrine with these offerings and to make sure they don't vanish. One of the best playthroughs I ever had.
Had a very similar experience! Had a Nord who worshipped Kynareth, became a werewolf, and would always made sure to harvest animals he killed. He knew nothing about Talos, and actually got pissed at how everyone paid more attention to the war god than the nature goddess.
I had that beginning, however in making potions in service to Zenithar, my character started leaning heavily into poisons. That, mixed with an interest in Black Magic (Illusion, Conjuration) led him to serve Mephala after getting the Ebony Blade. I stuck with that for about 20 levels and mastered Stealth before deciding that Mephala's power wasn't enough. Mannimarco was a great boost to my Conjuration abilities and I've stuck with him ever since. What started out as an upstanding knight became a heavily armored assassin, now a Necromancer with a warhammer.
I did a Dragonborn Museum playthrough, and played as an Altmer worshiper of Auriel, the god of Perfection. Second half of the playthrough, I could teleport to waypoints, so I set one at Auriel's cathedral in the Vale, or the mod's altar in Solstheim's mountains, depending on which content I was doing. Teleport in once per day, pray, and raise those skills. Crafter. Blademaster. Archmage. Stealth Archer. Well I did say 'god of _perfection.'_
What I like is that he also makes 'minimalistic' versions for people who like a 'vanilla plus' experience rather than complete overhauls. Ordinator has Vokrii, Imperious has Morningstar and Wintersun has Trua. It doesn't add as many abilities but focuses more on passive bonuses - That's my preference and think Enai deserves a lot of respect for creating all of these different mods.
Enai Siaion (the mod author) has released so many excellent mods, I can't play Skyrim anymore without most of them installed! Big shout out to Enai, thanks for all your work on your mods, mate!

As a necromancer enthusiast, I am super pleased that they put the king of worms in. Using Undeath with all the add ons, Path of the Revenant, Ordinator, and The Dark Arts makes really makes you feel like the necromancer you were suppose to be. Summoning/reanimating undead at night at high favor easily makes your undead last 5 minutes or more even without dual casting even at low levels. Gets even better when combined with the native ritual stone.
i’ll be exclusively either Sithis and The Hist. i love argonians in every way one can, and would love to see a proper shadowscale build and perhaps maybe a Hist Priest
I know the comments almost a year old but exploring part of black marsh is available in elder scrolls online so it’s their if you want to explore with murkmire or just plain old Shadowfen
Showing up and praying at the Hist Tree from time to time as an argonian was really fun . Definitely an example of a great mod: immersive, adds something descriptive, adds something which can buff or debuff depending on how much you overextend and rely on such boons
Would absolutely LOVE to see more videos extensively covering huge mods like this. Just got a PC so I gotta know what mods to get! Keep up the good work!

Note to self: if I ever write a story featuring or play a D&D character who’s a follower of a love god, praying naked _absolutely_ will need to be one of the deity’s requirements.
I absolutley love this Mod! It makes roleplaying even more fun that it already is. I recently roleplayed an Altmer Mage who originally worshipped Magnus but eventually began to worship Hermaeous Mora for his forbidden knowledge. It was so fun and interesting!
It makes getting trapped in Apocrypha after the game more of a benefit for the Dragonborn. I wasn’t really fond of it before Wintersun, now I think it’s perfect.
@@carna-9501 of course. Charles Dexter Ward discovers an ancestor of him with little to no information and decides to do research about him since he is highly fascinated. This ancestor is Joseph Curwen who came to Providence (where the story is set) from Salem as the witch trials there where in full motion. Charles research shows that Curwen wasn't very popular in Providence, they started to hear strange noises from his house, people who have been there told about the strange objects inside his house and most suspicious, Curwen lived over a hundred years in Providence but seemed to be just 5 years older at best (way to hide your magic Curwen). After a while Charles was more quiet about his research and moved up to the attic where he spend the most of his time and where his parents heard strange words and smelled strange smells. Then, all of a sudden Charles had some help with his research that operated from a shack on the place where Joseph Curwens second house once stood. Charles Father and the family doctor of the Wards who is a close friend of the family investigate and the doctor finds a huge underground lab and place of worship. Joseph Curwen is a Yog Sothoth worshipping Necromancer who can reconstruct the body and mind of the dead from just their ash, and Charles brought him back using this method. That is about as much as is important for this build idea, and I don't want to spoiler everything.
Dakota Fawson andromeda standing stones, you guys should pick up ordinator from the same mod author, makes builds a lot more interesting than the standard perk trees
The first time I used this mod I forgot to use the option that prevents the God you worship to abandon you when at 0 ... it didn’t end well and I forgot which god I chose as a dark elf
i regularly consult the tenets when i'm not too sure. Also once I tried to kill thalmor scum and got yeeted out of my worship because it's considerated crime to attack them on plain sight lol
@@Gensolink Not if you Choose Talos (I chose Talos and was able to murder Thalmor on sight, but when I tried to kill any other elves that weren't Bandits he dropped my ass).
@@thegreywardenherald8923 i think that if they are already hostile the mods allows you to kill them openly however if you institigate first it's considered a crime therefor gods drop you. I fought one of the random thalmor patrols that are neutral at first
Absolutely right. Talk to the Thalmor and say you'll worship whatever you want; they will all agro on you, so you can kill them while defending yourself. No charges or bounty.
Enai Siaion is such a great mod maker, he also made Ordinator, Wildcat, Vokrii, Summerset, and Andromeda. Such a wonderful and under-appreciated mod author
I don't think he/she is underappreciated... those mods are literally on the top charts, they've got plenty of popularity, reviews, sub-mods and related content
I like these long videos too listen to while I’m doing something rlse, they’re kinda podcast-y even though this was more like a mod review. Great job lads!
At the moment I'm doing a playthrough where I'm playing an Imperial follower of Zenithar. Combined with Imperious, Andromedus, and Landlord, he's basically part jack of all trades warrior, and part business tycoon. Imperious has allowed me to increase my Smithing, Enchanting and Alchemy 10 beyond what they can be, and lowered my conjuration, pickpocket, and block. My reasoning on this is, if I can make my armor as strong as I want, I have no need for a shield. I thrive on the legal side of business, and believe heavily in Zenithar's laws, thus I do not steal. With Conjuration, I mostly don't use it because all of my follower based mods follow this character, and also to keep him as a foil to the other character whom I'm having him ICly share the world with. (not mechanically as that would be impossible as they constantly are at odds with the other once they both become aware of the other's existence do the war.) I'm enjoying him a lot. The end goal is to have him simply just make the best of everything, and to have the standing stone of the steed, letting him access to an extra dimension space that he can put his finest weapons, potions, armor, and supplies into. He'll have basic perks in all forms of combat, but no form of specialization in any specific style. He'll switch to weapons as they are needed and even will switch weapons for fun. This video has also given me an idea however, one of a high elf worshiper of Auriel. Those together would make the 'going beyond 100 skill' ability quite powerful.
It's great how well these buffs mesh with his other mods, such as Imperious. An example I thought of while watching is an Altmer that worships Auriel. It makes sense, and Imperious Altmer gets increased benefits to maxed skills, which you max quicker, and then are further improved by devotee status.
Wait but the Wintersun mod is missing out on some of the greatest deities in Tamriel. The Trifecta Gods of explanations and the builders who create the many lives of the Dragonborn, collectively known as Fudgemuppet. The God of top kek puns and all curiosities and artifacts, Camelworks. And the God of small details we may have missed in the Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim part @“&!, the EpicNate. And finally the God of legendary challenges straight out of Helgen, MajorSlackAttack This pantheon of Gods constantly create new ways on continuing the life cycle of the game called Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim.
My favourite way to use this mod is to roleplay a Hircine-worshipping wild man, similar to the werewolves and werebears on Solstheim except without lycanthropy. What I did for this is I used this mod alongside Hunterborn and Scrimshaw Extended to give the feeling that he is truly wild. Hunterborn gives a more in-depth feeling for hinting beyond 'shoot deer, take meat and hide'. I'm fairly sure FudgeMuppet has covered Hunterborn already so I won't explain everything. Scrimshaw Extended lets you make weapons from bones and ivory which works perfectly as he's not civilised at all and shouldn't be using weapons that are from the cities and towns. If you haven't tried this, give it a shot. I really like this roleplay build.
Wintersun is definitely the best mod for an Elder Scrolls game I've ever played. Its religion mechanics should just be pilfered and put into Elder Scrolls 6 base game.
One of my favourite character builds i've done was a Malacath worshipping orc, originally intended as a personal challenge because i can't commit to a sword/shield build, quickly became what i now call my Cruelhammer build, which mainly involves a dragonbone warhammer. Pair this mod with Imperious Races and you've got a really nice power attack setup
I’m currently playing a Dark Elf Spell Sword devoted to Azura. I use a lot of mods but the important ones are Wintersun - Faiths of Skyrim and Classic Classes and Birth Signs. Very fun would recommend.
its a shame the old nordic gods cant be worshipped, love the idea of kyne encouraging a more aggressive playstyle over kynareth and granting storm themed boons
You need the High Hrothgar Library mod and to pray to Kyne, she will give you new shouts combining words. It's cool!!! There are other ways to appease her which improves your shouts up to 200 percent over time!!
Personally I like Stendarr, Arkay, and Shor for a paladin build combined with the reputation mod which makes the game play much more rewarding as people slowly go from treating you like a nobody to treating you like an honored hero striding into town wearing the mark of your Divine around your neck. But if you feel like a purely evil playthrough combining Molag Bal worship with the reputation mod also causes children to run from you in terror screaming "get away." Though you don't want people seeing you as a vampire or werewolf as at a certain point they will attack you in reputation. Suspicion of either affliction is good though.
If I really had to choose only one RP concept, I’d have to go with the Frostfall/Campfire/Wet and Cold combo. It’s so important to feel like you’re actually in Skyrim by having to battle and overcome the elements, whereas I could probably use an animation mod to force kneeling and praying poses in front of alters to get enough of an effect for RP worshipping.
Interesting to find you showcasing this mod, I've used this mod for a long time (since February 2020), it's great! :) So as a fan of this mod, thanks for showing it to others! :)
@@chacepassmore6474 Late comment but leaving this here anyway Nocturnal doesn't require worship but is heavily associated with thieves (You can't really understand Nocturnal either) as shown from her appearance in Elder Scrolls Online. Hircine sphere is the Hunt, the Sport of Daedra, the Greatest Game, and the Chase and Sacrifice of Mortals. No one is safe from the hunt. Boethiah's quest in Skyrim speaks for itself alone with her sphere which is deceit, conspiracy, secret plots of murder, assassination, treason, and unlawful overthrow of authority. Which the average human would find evil.
This is a great mod. I'm playing a Guardian of the Hist with Ordinator, Apocalypse and Summermyst. Battlemage and armour based. Skills are Smithing, Enchanting, Heavy Armour, One-Handed, Restoration and Alteration. Worshipping the Hist buffs your Armour by 50 points, gives you bonuses to all attributes of prayer and absorbs magic and stamina from those around you. With that in mind i wanted him to be beefy and very armour based (The hist sap he's consumed has blessed him tough scales). He is Morally good and has been sent by the trees to save Skyrim before the dragons reach Black Marsh. Equal stat spread (1/1/1). Armour and weapons are Amber which give me tree vibes, if not dragonbone. Armour enchanted with Fortify Armour, Health, Stamina, Magica, Siphon, Windfall or Triptych. I have two weapons depending on who I'm fighting. The first is enchanted with Posion and Disease, designed for living targets. The second is enchanted with Absorb Armour and Sun, designed for undead slaying. I use Ocato's Recital to set up Tree Rings and Ebonyhide (Third Spells Changes). My left hand is used to cast Restoration spells. Disease/Poison spells for the living, Sun spells for the dead and healing when needed. He uses the Lord Stone with Andromeda. Looking forward to seeing this build on your channel 😁.
Awesome build man! Love people that stick to the lore and keep it real to the source. Skyrim is the best modded game ever. Bethesda should really sit their asses down and work harder on tes6. Im afraid they simplify it even more than Skyrim if they dont put up their work on it. ..just like they screwed up FO 4 and 76.
Wow... I love how you gain certain powers that relate to that deity you worship... very similar to how religions like Santeria and Balo are... you are given a certain set of duties to work with the orisha you are crowned with. Bethesda has gone deep with allowing this mod to be created with the Divines, Daedra and the deities of other races. Incredible detail.

It makes getting trapped in Apocrypha after the game more of a benefit for the Dragonborn. I wasn’t really fond of it before Wintersun, now I think it’s perfect.
A Mora worshiping character based on Joseph Curwen from H. P. Lovecrafts "the case Charles Dexter Ward" would be awesome XD
Jason K. So true!!!!
As quarantine is still in effect for me, can you summarize the story?
@@erisk.1707 this, by far, is the best Lovecraft tale I've heard
@@carna-9501 yeah, it's my favorite as well
Already using it along with the standing stones mod, and the imperious races. They add so much depth to the game it's insane.
I use the same combination and it actually does add a lot of depth to the game but also a lot more role-playing potential.
So much stuff Bethesda has stripped out with each game in the series.
root9065 what is the standing stones mod?
And all of them are from Enai. He truly is the saviour of skyrim modding
Haha probably a Daedric Prince!
i regularly consult the tenets when i'm not too sure.
Also growl, Sacrosanct Vampires and imperious races of skyrim!
I don't think he/she is underappreciated... those mods are literally on the top charts, they've got plenty of popularity, reviews, sub-mods and related content

I think being put in the rain, eating cheese and throwing gold in peoples faces would win favor with Sheogorath.
Throwing _away_ cheese out of your inventory actually loses you huge amounts of favour if you worship Sheogorath I think.
(not mechanically as that would be impossible as they constantly are at odds with the other once they both become aware of the other's existence do the war.)
I'm enjoying him a lot.
I literally cannot play without Enaisiaon’s mods. They’re fantastic.
We need more daedric follower builds they’re my favourite I think you should do mephala or sanguine next
Keep up the great work
this sounds so cool :0
It is great!
It's great how well these buffs mesh with his other mods, such as Imperious. An example I thought of while watching is an Altmer that worships Auriel. It makes sense, and Imperious Altmer gets increased benefits to maxed skills, which you max quicker, and then are further improved by devotee status.
Wintersun is a must must in my load order . Absolutely amazing video FudgeMuppet ! Thanks for the entertainment .
And finally the God of legendary challenges straight out of Helgen, MajorSlackAttack
This pantheon of Gods constantly create new ways on continuing the life cycle of the game called Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim.
And who can forgot MXR..the daedric Prince of immersion and Sloots..
No twin God Brodual? Heresy.
Simp
You forgot Zaric
The one true god though, is Godd Howard.
Schlongs of Skyrim is the only mod I will ever need
Same!
I just gotta say, the dialogue script for this video is really unexpectedly witty! Love the video as usual!! :)
This is seriously a great mod two thumbs up👍👍
Earl Kjartan nice Mando profile pic man
I’m currently playing a Dark Elf Spell Sword devoted to Azura.
God damn it thank you @FudgeMuppet I was trying to remember what worship mod I had it's this one You're the best! You just got a new patreon!
PLEASE MAKE MORE MOD RECOMMENDATIONS !!!!!

@@bovrar2nd861 IS A JOJO REFERENCE?
Personally I like Stendarr, Arkay, and Shor for a paladin build combined with the reputation mod which makes the game play much more rewarding as people slowly go from treating you like a nobody to treating you like an honored hero striding into town wearing the mark of your Divine around your neck.
But if you feel like a purely evil playthrough combining Molag Bal worship with the reputation mod also causes children to run from you in terror screaming "get away." Though you don't want people seeing you as a vampire or werewolf as at a certain point they will attack you in reputation. Suspicion of either affliction is good though.
Y'all should do an "Essential Mods" list.

I was literally looking for this video a few days ago and now its here :)
"ah sweet, MxR uploaded another video"
"... WAIT A MINUTE"
I love Wintersun, and I hope you guys have more videos like this planned.
Love these longer videos that are a bit podcast-y while I’m doing something else, even if this was more like a mod review. Good jobs lads!
Damn, I needed to know about this *before* playing a Reclamation build

You could make a dark elf build that worships the “good” daedra, that would be pretty cool
Dimitri Telvanni boethiah ain’t that evil tbh
@@kytwb4252 Boethia is technically a "Good" Deadra. Most people just don't realize it. So is Hircine and Nocturnal tbh
@@chacepassmore6474 Late comment but leaving this here anyway
Nocturnal doesn't require worship but is heavily associated with thieves (You can't really understand Nocturnal either) as shown from her appearance in Elder Scrolls Online.
It's been a while since I watched one of your guides, but I have to say I am really impressed with the quality and editing of these newer video's.
This mod is awesome because I’m spiritual in real life, so it’s fun to actually let my character demonstrate whatever religion he/she practices.
I love modding Skyrim SE in particular, I am always up to watch a video on great mods, even if they're 20+ minutes long.

I really hope this will be a feature in TES6
All of his mods should be a feature in ES6 lol
