Had a huge smile on my face for most of this video, you did amazing! Can't wait to see what the ute does next! Hope the cash covered some drinks at the SM Christmas party! :D
It's so great to see you do so well, after all the struggles along the way. Congratulations to Scotty and the Ute who have both demonstrated what incredible resilience looks like.
Hah, I was "Nice Scotty!" at @23:47 - then your fist pump! What a race indeed! Then the dash died, and I was thinking "Use the force, Scotty"! Then through to the final and a solid second... what an epic episode!
Well done mate! The hours you've put into your ute, the research, the actual work, everything that gets it together has paid off! You've had excellent support from your sponsors, mates, fans etc. You deserve to reap the rewards my friend. Well done and congratulations. 👍
Took me all day to watch the whole video. But it was worth the wait to get through it. Everybody that has touched this ute has given to this outcome. What a story of f success.
As usual another wicked video as always, so glad to see the fist pump and you enjoying yourself!!! keep up the awesome content on Carnage and that Scotty’s Garage Channel 😂😜😂😜
Hats off to Adam for all his help and work on this car. The guy obviously knows his stuff and it looks like he’s had no hesitation jumping in for assistance when needed. 👏👏
Congratulations, I’ve done a few different meets since 2013 but nerve a Kenda, it’s on my list, prepped radial track will PB my wagon. Here’s to 2025 and a big thank you for the content this year. Been great watching this Ute being built and evolving over time. Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night
You've built an absolute weapon Scotty. Seems like it had 4 pieces of cardboard worth of jobs left a fortnight ago and now you're winning prizes in it. Merry Christmas to you and the family man.
Simply 10/10, A+, Scotty for your commitment to Street Machine, & Carnage for what you have achieved, You have come a very long way from your Turbo Taxi videos, I sir, take my hat off to you . Scotty.
The car and effort that’s gone in has been awesome to follow. But the highlight for sure was watching Scotty get more and more sunburnt as each segment went on.
The next thing to do before racing again is to get that cooling system sorted so you can stay consistent and won't have to wait to cool down for so long
Scotty, I hope you bought Adam a pub dinner with your win! I have to say that the Holden VS Ute has been nothing but fantastic. Yeah, a few ups & downs but Kenda has proven that she still has a lot more to give. Watching this video shows what a great event Kenda is & I wish that I could have been there last week instead of chasing after a VY ute tailgate that was perfect but when I got there, some idiot creased the metal with his tray truck. Again Scotty, bloody brilliant! On Christmas Day I intend to binge watch all the ute episodes again.
He was already on the way to the airport by the final, but he knows our appreciation. Sorry to hear about your tailgate, it's the worst one to have a dent in. Have a great Christmas
It looked amazing, didn't it. Such a close race, and it puts the final in perspective, the win margin in the final was a third of the win margin with the red Datsun ute
@STREETMACHINETV was a really cool bracket. I'll run the engine at idle with some water misting the intake. Once the intake manifold is cold to touch, shut it off and spray the other hot bits externally. Makes a much quicker cool down between runs.
Scotty, I once went to a race in the USA out in the desert. The guys had buckets full of ice bricks with air holes in them and they would strap them to the cool down fans letting them pull air through the bucket to quickly lower engine temps as 46 deg air does sweet fa to cool a motor down. I think they also do the same at the Saudi sand drags
lol Scotty looks like you need a throttle pedal on the steering wheel as well so you can keep track of what your foot is doing. I have a funny feeling I have done something like that myself. Can't remember where and when, but I have a weird feeling I have done something very similar. You are not alone.
Congrats Scotty on a really good result. You actually made 1/8 mile racing exciting. Still not a fan of it, but will gladly watch you do it. Would two smaller bumps be better? i.e. half of your final setting so the first bump doesn't rock the light.
@@STREETMACHINETV that is why I was thinking two smaller bumps might work better. The one big bump seems to rock the car quite a lot, making it harder for you to settle the car down before they hit the light. If it was a regular Christmas tree it probably wouldn't be an issue, but looking at some of your starts it looks like the car is rocking back as you take off which would work against traction. Car going back, you trying to go forward equals a harder job for the tyres to stay planted and easier wheel spin. Bit like the old reverse to first burn out we did as kids when we didn't have enough power to spin the wheels.
Not 100% sure. I disconnected the supplementary loom that runs to the blinkers and stuff and it worked for the last couple runs. Maybe there's an issue with that.
Scotty, they seemed to be hitting the lights as soon as the second car staged. You might want to go in first, so the car has some time to settle. Hopefully you don't get any long staging from the other lane. It just looked like you left better with the early stage. With that prize money, you should now be able to claim the entire cost of the build on tax😅😅😅🎉
You know you've built a solid car when it's consistent and reliable. Well done Scotty.
Scotty absolutely proving he’s the real deal!!
Congrats Scotty you learnt that....what a ride it's been. KUDOS to you and Team.
It was a tough one for sure, thanks for the support!
It’s been great that you have the support of MPW as their work is exceptional to say the least. Well done brother
Appreciate that, they've been a huge help!
The best episode this channel has seen! Awesome content Scotty and the SM team.

What a great result Scotty, I think Harry on your T-shirt was the icing on the cake 👏

Awesome Scotty! You did bloody well and almost snagged it!!

Glad you liked it, have a good one!
Blood, Sweat and Gears and you finally got yourself a Hotrod of a Car. Now you just need to sharpen up your Axe for better Tree Choppage ❤❤😂
Agreement to agree
I certainly got better with the reactions during racing
F yeah. Merry Christmas big fella 🇦🇺
Well done mate! Now to fix that cooling issue!!
The car and effort that’s gone in has been awesome to follow.
But the highlight for sure was watching Scotty get more and more sunburnt as each segment went on.
Haha, yeah I needed to put some sunscreen on
That steering wheel set up is a game changer ! Great to see you happy at the dragstrip again !
Yeah, it really helped, made a huge difference!
@@STREETMACHINETV Great results, congratulations!
Nice love the Harry tshirt 👍🏻
The next thing to do before racing again is to get that cooling system sorted so you can stay consistent and won't have to wait to cool down for so long
It's definitely on the to-do list!
Great effort Scotty. Well done.
Good racing brother, keep it up..
Nice work Scotty 👍🏻💪🏻

Well done Scotty, it's all come together👍 but mate 100 degrees? You've got to get it down to under 80 somehow, I know all in time 👌 well done
Awesome !!
Awesome hotrod you have built Scotty.
I love how stock the Ute looks. Just looks a clean old Holden with
Some big tyres.
Congratulations Scotty, well run.

@@STREETMACHINETV it was a 5hr return trip for nothing! I'm not worried cos something will turn up
On ya Scotty you did awesome work
Some close racing. The first round with the datsun looked pretty cool.

Well done Scotty. Good shit mate. cheers.
done well guys you deserve it.
Well done bro AwESOME
I wonder what the complete costing of building this fantastic Ute. It’s an eye turner that’s for sure.
We jokingly call it 8s for $80K, it wouldn't be too far off
congrats team

Sounds like a "cool" idea :)
Nice driving!
Scotty goes pro
Scotty post instant like
And comment
The ECU managing the rpm curve is a great idea
For someone that has zero clue.....i love the nerdary of racing

Nothing about suspension tuning?
We didn't touch the suspension all weekend. We might look at that next time
Go scotty the goat ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
That’s awesome,
well done Scott and team
I’d like to have a poster size picture of the Ute on my wall, can you make some? I’d buy one off you
I'll talk to the boss
💪
Reaction + Traction... That's a good motto, put it on a T-shirt!
Love that colour mate, is it Rubens Mica?
I like the motto, I think it's Cosmo to be honest
I reckon there's 4000th of a second in ya gut Scotty Lmfao.
Just jokes mate, at our age it's part of life
Great racing mate.
👍👍👍
onya Scotty

Nah, one bump puts it in the perfect spot, it seems aggressive, but it works

she is a beast whooop whooop
woohoo

hey scotty can we get some 2step checks in future videos? please and thank you legend!
I was thinking about it, but didn't want to melt holes in Adam's tarp
