I've only seen the first half a lap, and I not sure if this is a Cup race or a demolition derby try out. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised, because they were ramming each other on the pace lap.

John Hindhaugh and Jeremy Shaw have been commentating together for years and are simply the very best in the business. John also owns/owned Radio Le mans and is that rare thing, a commentator who has his own following. I also think Shea Adam is excellent.
At 17:03 they are already discussing the replay of the incident and what a great job the driver did to avoid other cars and the wall. The actual incident was at the 16:00 minute mark in which they immediately saw the car spinning.

The Porsche Carrera Cup North American series is a single-make series. All the cars are exactly identical. Same make. Same model. Same generation.
