I really like the shop owner. Not only does he know what he's doing, but his attitude and full disclosures are a breath of fresh air compared to another shop in the same area! Don't know how their prices are, but I'm going to guess it's more reasonable too. Keep up the good work guys! I'd like to see some more C6Z stuff here as well.
This is the 1st green zl1 I’ve ever seen and WOW! I could careless about the sick power it makes. That car is badass!! I also appreciate how honest they are about the effort it takes to get that kind of power out of a stock blower car and isn’t willing to risk quality on a customer car. Most people won’t know the difference from 850 horse to a thousand horse on the street anyway!
When the owner says “im lazy” I feel like it’s kind of a humble way of saying “we’re just going to work with what we got for now and see if we can make this work well before we keep changing things”. Which is what your supposed to do 👍🏼
I agree with you on the velocity stack, it will help as you go down the track, it will give you more boost. Ram air effect. This is proven on motorcycles, like .5 psi on bikes. If the factory converter acts like aftermarket converters, it should give you more stall the more HP/TQ you make. Think the Chevy/Ford engineers knew guys were going to push this engine so they made the trans stuff, adaptable. P.S. Just thought about what you said about spinning the blower too hard. Wondering if a blower can cavitate like a water pump if you spin it too fast? Water and air are both fluid. I see shit like this in my sleep.
I like the video and the HP numbers; but as you know it’s just a number. The real test is at the drag strip. I hope when you get the setup 100%, you can do some drag strip videos!!! I’m excited to see, congrats! (I obviously have a LT4 car so I’d love to know more details on the 1K who #’s (without giving away too many secrets).
Sup from the Dena! I recognize that voice!!! You all are about to get BUSY!!!!! On another note I hope you all don't get jacked at that rofo by the line. The chicken ain't worth it lol Best of luck to you guys! I'll be watching and if I ever take the plunge and get a ZL1 I'll be visiting.
@@LateModelPerformance you say they don’t work as good as people seem and are a hassle. I was hoping for more detail. Some well known shops swear by them and have some pretty impressive results and data.
@@jackstoepfer1494 I’d say there’s also something to be said for if it does work, hows it compare on a street car, surely the ice in the tank wouldn’t last as long as being able to use the ac compressor whenever
So because they have a more accurate dyno they can’t use the numbers ? Also properly strapped and weighted car shouldn’t be spinning on chassis dyno at these power levels . Especially below 1000hp
I just looked at your website and there are no products or packages listed for Corvette. In fact, in the drop down menu, corvette isn’t even an option. Also on your landing page, you advertise LT4 blower lids but there’s no link to see the product. Do you not work on Corvettes?
They work on any and all LT4’s. The easiest route is to call or email the shop and let them know what you want/your goals and they will get you a quote.
@@WatchYaNeck Why wouldn’t there be a Corvette option in the drop down menu when selecting your vehicle? Seems very odd considering there’s a Tahoe option.
I have to disagree on the innerchiller. My innerchiller is killer. On 80° NC days I'm down to 19 IAT's anything below 50° single digits. I wouldn't dare make multiple trips to the store for bags on bags of ice. But to each as on. Nice number's btw and strong running car
@@HemitechSRT8 nope I don't heat soak at all. I'm going to make a video of my innerchiller soon. I was at the track and it was 85° and my iat before the run was 25° and after 50 something. Then right back down in the 20's with thin a couple of minutes
That's great you made that much power NOW LETS SEE IT STICK TO THE GROUND !! I GUARENTEE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE IT OFF THE LINE TO 75 TO 80 MPH !! Secondly a infrared temp guage should not be used on a silver reflective surface as it can change your temperature numbers you should spray a small spot black you will find your temperature is lower than what you are reading on the silver surface.

Aye much respect to this man and the work that went into getting that little blower to do work and great job bouncing back and making killer videos 🤝

Id love to hear his opinion on the FI interchiller. Obv he just proved his skill and build but for those of us that don’t want an ice tank.
We talk about it in the video

feel bad for that guy. forged the pistons had it whippled. made it 300 miles. unreal.

DAMN, that's on a stock high-side and low-side pump????
Awesome 😎
Hey have you guys ever had any vibration issues with the Mickey Thompson sr front tires? Mine wobble like crazy and dont really balance out well.
Not typically, If your wheels are aftermarket it's most likely your wheels not the tires. If you use a high quality wheel that rarely happens.
@@LateModelPerformance do you guys balance the fronts?
