I remember when it first came out on blu, I was blown away by the transfer and once again, blown away by the 4k transfer. My favorite Marvel movie next to Winter Soldier and Civil War. I got two video footage of this film being played on my 49X900F if anyone is interested to check it out. Keep up the awesome content and comparisons, glad I subbed you a while back 👍
Not just brighter, mate. The contrast is much closer in terms of the look of the film as the director intended. The deepest blacks and brightest whites widen the color spectrum for far more accurate color, improving detail as well.
I recently learned that the only true 4K release from them is Black Panther, and apparently Iron Man 2 has a native 4K original edition that can be rescanned if they choose to release an official version. Upscaling still looks great and the HDR makes a massige difference. Hopefully one day all of the MCU films are released on 4K (hopefully with the IMAX ratios, maybe on the upcoming IMAX Enhanced 4K line).
This is why I have already ordered this, before I even ordered infinity war. I've seen previous HDR clips and then finally a review. Its such a massive upgrade over the Blu Ray. However this isn't showing real HDR so this must be some kind of simulation.
Thanks for the reply. I actually meant to ask if you capture those images in real time showing the difference or you process them somehow to show the difference. I am asking because I was wondering how those HDR images appear like this even on my SDR monitor and if there is a way to make HDR movies run for me on the same SDR monitor in real time via some kind of software.
If it's HDR vs. SDR image comparisons that you're referring to, then yes, you'll find some on my channel. Yes, those screenshots are taken in real time via HDMI so as not to lose quality and 4K HDR10 video processor and Dolby Vison as well. However, the question is, do you have a 4K TV with all these standards ?
No, I don't have a 4K TV with those standards yet and I always assumed such standard will not appear like this on a SDR TV/Monitor, yet your screenshots look as if they have all that HDR info within them and they are showing for me fine.
I don't understand the very slight cropping on the 4K edition. Update: I realized the 4K is in the original aspect ratio. The Blu-ray had a slight bit more information at the top and bottom.
Ok I don't know how you do it (maybe like Sony TV does with XDR) but your HDR simulation on a non HDR screen looks a lot like the actual 4k HDR movie :)
If I put xdr on my standard blu ray with advanced contrast enhancer and black level down... and get deep black and pop just like a 4k hdr movies on my Sony xbr 900e TV. Basically you can toy and tweak the Sony TV to create a 4k hdr picture and save $30.
Joseph Vegas its still not the same when comparing the beat HDR discs. The details, highlights and colour are by definition less because of the spec changes aand improvements of HVEC 265 over 264. I like Sonys fake HDR a lot and it makes watching SD and HD material very pleasurable but it's still not the same and very very bright. Whatever is being done here is on another level.
Blu Ray color and grading way better than 4k, 4k would have been good except the HDR ruins it with nasty blown out highlights and unexplained colors and lightsources which should not be in the imade, sad
@@Mymoonization yea... My best friend keep telling me "what a difference between DVD and Blu Ray I don't see anything different" and I have no proof cause Nobody do the video about anymore

Holy cow what a difference
Best avengers on 4k imo.
So 4k makes things brighter huh?
Guess I should replace my DCEU blu-rays with the 4k versions then.
Cool video!

Mister Deadpool they say that every time a new product is out

This isn't right, why is the Blu-Ray so blurry in the video? The real disc isn't this blurry.

I just watched this disc last night it's amazing 😁👍👍👍👍
Genuinely night and day. And the Blu Ray isn't even bad
This was an amazing transfer. Thanks for the upload
How do you capture those HDR images on PC and make them show like this on even SDR monitors?
On PC, I really don’t know.
Like I said, I work with iMac only for color treatments !

WOW looks good in 4k
That 2012 Blu ray makes it look like they had a black filter on the camera lens the whole time.

From tv show like color, to true tv show color 😅

Why nobody wants to do an audio comparison between Blu Ray and 4K?
I have no money
Oh well, maybe get a job...?
Nice song
I kinda wish somebody could compare Blu Ray and DVD
If there was a strong demand, I would probably have done !!
Ummm....why...? DVD is crap...

@@PlaystationGamerZX it's simple, Blu Ray is around 7:20 - 10:80
Were dvd is around 4:80 - or so a 7:20. But it mostly depends on your TV
Chill Bill ?
I prefer my 3d blu ray of this movie😊
Me too !
@@Mymoonization ❤😇👍
Great video! + what’s the song name
some cases 4k is worse
The blu ray looks like trash
4K is still an unnecessary waste of money
