Lyrics:
“Here, where the sun blooms with no respite, crooked men and vagabonds
seek the holiness of silence.”
We’ve spent a spell drifting on paths bygone,
Where our voices wane against the breath of Gods.
The summer drones...
“Here, where the spirit is purged of all earthly trespass, crooked men and
vagabonds desire a most desolate peace.”
But we’ll tread on, through a season unchanged,
Across barren expanse to the high desert plain
Where we’ll accept our fate and take our rightful place
Among the devils and thieves nailed to the Joshua trees.
The summer drones on.
Never listened to these guys before, but putting 'em on my list of must sees at Desertfest in NYC this May. Great soundscape.
Oh man, this band is just the fucking bomb
Fuck the bell on that ride sounds amazing.
God dammit get one! Hail🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳
Gimme a loan money bags!
Great to see Joshua Tree, CA in this epic video.
Have to add this song to my LA - Palm Springs Desert playlist for sure.
I seen these folks in Philly and it was so fuggin good. When it stopped and we went outside, my buddy passed out. That's how good it was ya dig, my friends body waited for that shit to be over before it gave up
Saw em open for Russian Circles. sweet gig. check out their song "sblood" - it's a wall of drums.
People keep saying "Sleep Dopesmoker" in the comments here. I can hear that as an influence but this songs sounds more like the band U.S. Christmas to me. \m/
I am hearing Sleep and Monster Magnet. They pull it off well, I dig it.
u.s. Christmas rules btw
Wow, I usually totally hate stoner metal but this is actually really freaking good. That crazy build up to 5:10 was sweet. Can't wait to see these guys open for Deafheaven and Carcass.
I love the Om like Dopesmoker vibe
Sleep
Damn , they have some special, the voice at background is amazing
Definitely getting a huge Electric Wizard vibe from these guys
lovely

Going to get well acquisited with the summer drones in the upcoming years I think
Genial !"
love when the vocals are more melodic then growl but not the screamo emo kinda stuff
Sounds like Caronte.love it
Very cool thumbnail and song!
I take the Arma then I'm dead from aLive cLick CLick
that's the way to the top
Good capable band, if only the growning aping singing WiLL be out LawD
Then it could have been music
Ah, the increasingly familiar, pseudo-spiritualistic sound of beardy, fat, modern day doom again.
I think I still prefer the sound of bands like Kylesa, Soundgarden or Kyuss...
Ones who don't seem so mired or bogged down by the sheer, stifling weight of it all but who still wield a mighty riff with the kind of grace, flare and panache that appeals a bit more to mine lugholes and nut.
Gibberish much!!
A whole lot of flowery language saying nothing. If you were to listen to more than 6 minutes of a band that has 4 or 5 albums you might find that this song is actually a bit of an outlier. While there are some droning doom style parts here and there, there’s also a fair bit of thrash, some black metal style vocals here and there, a good bit of death metal, and even some Pink Floyd style spacier elements.
@@Tyrannosaurine Sorry but educated, competent and quite normal use of language is 'flowery' in your mind?
Words which, added together into sentences, then arranged into paragraphs, obviously saying things like 'I don't like this very much', 'this is the kind of thing that I prefer' and 'here's why', you think are "saying nothing"?
I'm hardly likely to devote more time to listening to a band, who, one their whole songs didn't make a very good impression on me, just because somebody, the likes of you (see above) tells me to, now, am I?
Ye Jehovah!
