Your assessment was spot on. We have acreage covered in oak trees. Leaves fill the gutters, driveway, patios etc. Several years ago I bought a large husquvarna backpack blower that really moves a lot of air, but it's heavy and somewhat inconvenient to use. Lowes had a sale on a Kobalt 500 cfm blower with battery, charger etc. for a bit over $100 bucks. I was pretty skeptical as all my other gardening tools are gas powered, but this is great for the smaller areas and so much easier to use. I'm getting sold on some of the battery operated stuff. I guess we'll have to as the law in Ca. Is no more small gasoline (under 25 hp) engines can be sold in our state after the end of the year. YIKES!
Thank you for the comment! Yes, these electric blowers are just so easy to use, especially in small areas. Good luck in CA, I know they have some scary policies being implemented.
CFM is the key with leaf blowers. Movement of air and the more you can move will yield less work time. Very ideal for smaller lawns and cleanup for medium yards. Also have used the EGO 650CFM blower the DCBL772 competes well in effectiveness. This will also move compacted wet leaves too. Nice that this works with the DeWalt 20v ecosystem of products as well .
-- You think that Aussie is going to help you? You already know. Just ordered one. Love Dewalt. It's not the best one, but it's my line of tools, and more than enough for my needs.
Give the EGO 650 CFM a try. With a 5AH battery on a cool day I got about 90 minutes of runtime. I stress a cool day as temperature will have an impact on the runtime. I’m also in CT.
Great review. I recently purchased this blower just to clear the gutters, deck and driveway and it is great for those quick jobs, but I wouldn't recommend it for extended use because it is a little heavy to hold. It is also very loud at full throttle. I probably would have returned it and bought the ego 765 if I wasn't already on the dewalt platform. The included 9ah flexvolt battery is awesome because I can use it on my 20 volt tools.
These are not limited to clearing leaves in the fall. This blower can also be used for light snow removal from vehicles and driveways AND for drying off those vehicles post washing.
Yea, that's what I was saying in my video. About 15-18 mins on 1 battery. Tons of airflow, but not much time. But I have a few batteries. Definitely easier than a gas blower, but best for a townhouse. Any kind of land and electric blowers aren't too efficient.
@@ryanscottlifts No prob! I said that because the latest EGO has a higher CFM and wind velocity while providing longer use on a 5.0 Ah battery. It is a beast.
Thank You for the review. Works Great for my home at .25 acres
Thanks!! We really like the blower.

Definitely a great blower. I will buy a few brands next year and do a larger compare

Good to know! Next fall, I'll have to pick up the new Dewalt and the new EGO and do a compare test. I have heard they are great.
@@ryanscottlifts it is what I use in my small lawn care business and they’ve worked very well.

Totally agree. I used it again today, very loud. But it does blow very hard! Great for what it is and what I need.

Great point! I will have to give that a try
3ah @ 60V
9ah @ 20V
I just returned one of these, the battery life is a f’ing joke. 20 f’ing minutes. Not kidding.

That’s why I bought the 20v Dewalt model. I have lots of 20v batteries. Buying a spare flex volt battery was a deal killer.
What else did you expect from a battery powered blower? Also who buys a $300 dollar tool before doing some research?
Thanks god bless
Thank you!
cool review expensive system, looking at other brands
Thanks!! Please SUBSCRIBE. Agreed, Dewalt batteries get costly. But I am fully dedicated to Dewalt at this point haha.
A gas blower would definitely more efficient time wise.
For a big space yes, not for a smaller yard.
The EGO still wins
To each their own! This works for what I need. Maybe I'll do a compare video next year. Please subscribe! Thank you!

@@tubeloobs dang then! I gotta pick one up and give it a shot next year.
