Ping Zing is the only putter I've ever purchased since the 1980's. I replaced the one that got stolen with another one identical. I've regripped it once and have no reason to ever replace it, I don't even look at other putters, no point. Mine works, and well.

Before an important round I actually take my Ping Zing to bed with me. My Wife realized that I was insane less than one year into our marriage. Been married 24 years now, I still sleep with my Ping the night before a big round, and she still thinks I'm insane about the game. Maybe she's correct. Same putter, same Wife. I must be doing something right.

Good man. But what does your wifes boyfriend say about this?

When i started playing in 1983 There was an old timer in Martinez California who use to have wine barrels full of golf clubs for sale inside his house, enough barrels to cover 1,000 sq ft, 70 percent of the irons and putters were Ping, use to go all the time then i moved away and my buddy told me the guy passed away the house sold and the clubs were gone by 1992, wish i would of brought lots of that stuff because he let me walk out with flea market prices, you wonder where do people get these massive amounts of clubs.

Those are the rare finds that are awesome to come across.

Would the ping zing 2 be considered just as good? It’s my current putter. Silver finish on it.

What do you prefer, Ping Zing 5 Stainless steel or BeCu?

I have always thought that they were exceptionally close in feel, but in my eyes, there are few putters as beautiful as a Beryllium Copper putter that hasn't tarnished yet. (You can always soak it in CocaCola to give it a new finish again.)

@@MortonGolfSales does changing a ping grip mess up the weighted balance any way.

@@matt7iron , if you're going from a standard sized grip to a standard sized grip, the short answer is that it's very unlikely. What you're really comparing is the weight of one grip to the weight of another and the difference between most standard sized grips is so nominal, it should have little to no effect. If you're graduating to an oversized grip, I would encourage you to try and find a lighter weight version that's a similar weight to your standard sized grip so that the counterbalancing of the putter will be similar.

Hello, how does one replace the Ping Zing grip, and can the shaft be extended an inch? Thanks!

Send it to Edwin Watts Golf Shop, tell them what you want, they will ask you a few questions about your measurements, send it off to Ping and you will most likely have your putter back in your hands within a week. It will probably cost less than the lunch you had today. Ping is pretty good about taking care of their customers.

Music should not play while you are talking. Good informative otherwise.
