Did MaXXXine end the trilogy the way you wanted it to?
It did. While the end might have been a bit easy to figure out, it felt like everything came full circle.
No
I was expecting it to be more like it’s precursors
I was really hoping for it to be Maxine getting a role of a snuff movie or something like that
SPOILERS: For the most part. I just wish they would've toned down the whole cult a bit with less people in white gowns, but still with the ending they had. I liked the end of the trilogy... but.... West is working on a Part 4, so who knows if this will continue? I wouldn't mind, I love the character.
Narrative and setting wise it was a great final act, however I do wish Maxxxine was able to save her self in true final girl style. I guess the vibe of the movie was more crime film noir so it makes sense the cops would help save the day.
Maxxxine just gives off iconic final girl energy so I wish she had a more legendary show down.
Still very happy overall though!
I was seeing a lot of the negative reviews before seeing it today and it didn’t worry me at all I just knew I was gonna like it and of course I liked it…. But i gotta say it just went in a direction that I really didn’t care for. Idk I hate to say it but I wish it was more of a slasher instead of the night stalker fake out/obvious killer reveal (especially with the video tape being dropped at her door) I knew right away. I just wanted more Maxine chase scenes etc 😭😭😭
Honestly, the opening semi-callback gave it away for me
This is definitely one of the best franchises of all time!
I only just watched it after hearing everyone else's mixed - light positive reviews for the last week, which maybe that helped manage my expectations as I loved Maxxxine!
I'd have to watch them all again to rank this X trilogy but in my mind they are all 8.5/9 out of 10 movies for me.
It's so refreshing to see such well made original horror movies 🤩
I enjoyed the movie and would give it a solid 8.5 out of 10. I lived in Los Angeles back in 1985 and the film definitely captured that vibe.
Just watched it myself. As a conclusion to a trilogy that isn’t particularly intertwined, I thought it was pretty good.
Aside from Giancarlo and Bacon, I wish we would have gotten some more time with the supporting cast. There was only one kill that was impactful for me (video store). Definitely agree that I was yearning for more slasher elements but I wasn’t mad at it
I LOVED this… they nailed the visuals and themes
I thought it was a really entertaining movie. Every movie in this trilogy is different. Did I love most of the third act-not necessarily-but 90% of this movie worked for me.
Can’t wait to check it out! Loving the channel man! Been binging your content over the last few days when I found it! Keep it up!
Thanks man! Means a lot
It’s alright. 6/10.
Well said brother!
Thanks man!
😎👌🏻💯
It sucked so baaaaaad
Disappointing 😒😒
🏳🌈
God this movie was a colossal disappointment. If this was as good as pearl and X, we would’ve had the best horror trilogy of all time, but nope. The pacing was off. Mia didn’t have any great scenes. In fact, she felt like a passenger in her own movie.
It was middle of the road at best
It completely nailed the 80’s and LA but the story was boring
