Fun Fact: Jim Cummings voices Lord Boxman, aka 1987 Leatherhead from 1987 TMNT, Dr Robotnik from Sonic Satam, Darwing Duck, Winnie the Pooh and Tiger, Pete from Mickey Mouse, Ed from Lion King and etc.
Looking back at the series I don't think the villains hated Boxman the only Reason they got fed up with him was his childish behaviour and his approval seeking if Boxman had stop and saw those flaws maybe the villains would've respected him a lot more as you can't force people to love or approve of you
I'm wondering if he still alive when this show was made, they would have got Long John Baldry play Boxman. It's no secret that Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog was highly influential on the series, and they even got the voice actor who played Wes Weasley to voice a director in a couple episodes. And Jim WAS originally going to be the voice of AOSTH RObotnik when they pitched it to ABC.
