I love the no game playing. Just straight to the point handling it like adults. Refreshing compared to some dramas.
Son Ye Jin known for her strong professional reputation and high level of work ethic and excellent. She knows how to set boundaries at work. Separate reel life couple (Peony couple) and real life couple (BinJin couple). 20 years of acting career without scandal and negative rumors with her male co-star. That speak for itself. Hyun Bin knows her deeply more than us outsiders. Chill out, relax and have an open mind.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin not the first celebrity married couples. Hollywood married actors, Bollywood married actors, China married actors, Hong Kong, Arab married actors, UK married actors and all married actors around the world continue their acting careers after married. They just portray the character.

the lighting. the music. their facial expressions. the camera angles. everything is on point!
The highlight part for such scene is actually the awkwardness after the bed scene, is so realistic and you just feel like wanna run away as soon as possible. Both actors handled the scene very well.

So true. I know people complain is more steamy hut let's be honest, that's real life regarding most adults interactions. A Man may offer and the woman may accept or vice-versa. It was weird seen grown adults having relationships like children
I myself was surprised about their one night stand cause Koreans are known to be more conservative in real lives as well. Some commented that they don’t like this but I think this is a reality for people their age. Most of K-dramas don’t portray realities when it comes to relationship especially when it comes to steamy or intimate scenes. Mostly “respectful” kissing only but still makes me love them but sometimes wanting more. Example in CLOY it’s not realistic that they are obviously in love and yet didn’t sleep together in her own place.
@@mariloubautista4170 dude, let me remind you that cloy depicted a TRAGIC love story - and not some story about average adults meeting and facing average life problems as shown in thirty nine drama. And you're talking about them not having enough "sleeping together" scenes🙄 - whatever they'd depicted in cloy was very much raw, mature and real - even though the scenario (NK-SK) was unrealistic but unique.

In CLOY i found it really unusual for a loving couple who had been separated and been through so many hardships didn’t even kiss when they finally reunited. For those who complained about the sex scene, they should just watch All Of Us are Dead. 😀

Love, love, love this Kdrama 39 & the chemistry between SYJ & YWJ. Ye Jin is such a natural that her romantic scenes with every male co-star seem real - Jung Haein in Something in the Rain pulled my heart strings, Lee Min Ho in Personal Taste was so cute, Song Seung Heon in Summer Scent was heart rending, and with Jo In Sung in The Classic, or Yung Jun Bae in April Snow, they all made me root for their romance.

Whew! That was HOT! The slow music and the slow scenes showing lit candles, shoes off, leaning against the wall kissing, holding hands and obviously slow walking towards the bedroom... shitchyeah! Great directing! I really wish there were more scenes like this, its great to have a love scene in early episodes, but then we may not get another one like it at all the whole rest of the series.... c'mon now! Stop teasing us! We need more love scenes!

Honestly, I'm kinda worried that Yejin's personal good news will affect people's view on her chemistry with Woojin (her chemistry with her soon-to-be-husband in her previous drama is really hard to beat tbh), but after watching the first 2 episodes I realize that I shouldn't be worried at all! I instantly root for their characters' relationship from their first encounter and every moments made my heart flutter 😭💖
I wish everyday is Wednesday and Thursday because I just can't wait for the next episode!!! This is not the only good ongoing dramas that I'm currently watching but it's definitely the best and personally, my favorite~

Something In The Rain may have been the last really steamy one for SYJ maybe since the wedding news and dating news was out, she could have a new approach on her dramas, or maybe nothing changed and there might be a steamer scene in Thirty-Nine that we have yet to see.
I think in part the way the footage was edited tries to make up for this?
In the BTS films, there's a bed scene but it was blurred by the editor in the final cut.

I started watching this two weeks ago when it first was aired and am absolutely loving it. The storyline and acting are superb. I won't put down any spoilers for those who haven't watched any of it yet. For me it's a grown-ups drama and I already love it. One of my favourites so far along with Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.
If the drama will goes as the narrator tells in the beginnning It will be really heart breaking for me

Son Ye Jin can act so realistically with any male co-star. In "Something in the Rain" her chemistry with Jung Haein made viewers think they were real lovers.

Love that hes straightforward but you’ll see in his body language that hes a bit shy and not used to picking up girls. After cloy/hyun bin I did not think I’d enjoy her with another love interest but this couple is cute!

Tbh I find this couple in thirty nine very ...bland and boring with zero chemistry. It's evident this ML has been added in the drama to act as a support system for Mijo character (as she'll soon start grieving the death of her friend) rather than a potential love interest. The peonies reference is good but I slept off during their interactions in ep 2 xD

The writer HAD to make ML being related to adoption house somehow so that there could be interactions on that topic with Mijo character . Even in ep 2 ending where she's crying, the ML just happens to be sitting there who then moves to comfort her - his presence looks so forced - i do hope they try to show his other personality (if he has one) rather than acting just as a support system for Mijo.

Luckily Asian dramas are evolving, especially those that pass on Netflix. We don't have to wait 40 episodes to see a kiss or an intimate scene. Honestly, in 2022 it is ridiculous to see couples in love who do not even touch each other or who barely touch their lips.

I started watching Kdramas in 2003 on free tv. Kissing was saved towards the end (maybe one or 2 and not torrid), and absolutely no premarital sex. Then because of the nature of my job, I had to sleep early and have not watched k-dramas for 15 years. Their culture, dialogues, and plots have completely evolved-not that it is bad.
