IMO this is the greatest strategy game of all time. My favorite anyway.
I really miss this channel, one of the best about COh1. This game is a piece of my life.. COH2 and 3 doesn't even come closer to it.
In my IT class we networked a bunch of computers and we basically play this on Lan once we've finished our work. Your videos have helped me from the worst to the second best XD

Normally we play either Vanilla or the Cross of Iron mod, but from your own play it's helped me develop a kind of unique style of play in the class, that normally tends to be a bit more defensive.
Your British Strat pulled me for a long time, but my friend ended up whipping out a Panzer Elite strat that kinda destroyed the entire class LOL

***** He used his own type of thing from what I know. Basically he uses groups of two Panzer Grens and for the most part clears a few choke holds and bottlenecks before rushing Two neberwafers and blowing the bridges until he can get a large armor convoy going
Yay! You did take the title I suggested, anyway I think the casuality clearing station did save me because I was throwing away units left and right during the mid-late game. And as a lvl 10 Brit I did not know if you pressed delete it will actually self-destruct the trench, now I know.
And yeah I kinda used your British strategy, purely going for infantry :) But probably one of the closest game I've played, great cast =)
Watching your videos while downloading Company of Heroes. I only just got on Steam and I was looking for the best RTS I could find. CoH seems to be the most highly recommended and watching you is definitely giving me some hype. :) Great gameplay. Great video.

MrRetardie Because Madic had basically nothing left. If he got that 1 or 2 sec he could've captures this point, meaning he doesn't lose points but Madic does and he can kill Madic. Why are you watching these videos if you don't even understand them?

If you 'upgraded' your headphones and now can't hear some stuff I am guessing you bought beats.
They distort the sound. Equalise bass & treble up - and cut DOWN midrange. This is not high quality audio - it is distorted crap.
I suggest Sennheiser or Shure or Audiotechnica - WAY better, less expensive - and proper high end audio, not marketing bullshit.

Also your panzer iv' should have assaulted his artillery when it had the chance... instead of focussing on infantry... later on he build at gun building... that artillery was hurting you a lot slowly.
I broke my collarbone so I can only use one hand. How playable is this game with one hand?

321:0 is not exactly “so close”.
Shit like that happens a lot, especially if you all of a sudden gets a upper hand in economics and power on the field. It could even go to 321:10 and then he gets the point and turns it around to 10:10 but loses the points and goes 10:1.
Don't see how this was close at all, not just for the fact that he had 300 points over you, he was running Commandos detachment and could've just blind dropped commandos on the point where you weren't leaving your vehicles.
I hate to break it to you Supra but he wasn't cut off from any resources at any point.
so the british got royal commando doctrine, but this is a small map, one normal british artillery can almost cover all area already

This gets really philosophical.
Looking at the game I fail to see how this was close? Not trying to sound like an ass, but your opponent had you rather early and kept capitalizing on opportunities that were missed. If anything a full front assault on the upper left of the map may have been the best chance of winning. Let the right fall a little while cutting his left, it would have been costly but in the long run you would have destroyed his economy.
some thoughts...firtsof all i think you could have used the third doctrine...that way you have less infantry but you can easily produce 4-5 tanks and spread them on the field...he can't send his artillery everywhere...also you could harass him by capturing points close to his base...not so much for economy reasons as for distraction...

Could recover your shrek with wolkrenader near by, after artillery. Hope it will not be recovered by him now.

If you really wanted to destroy him/infantry, elite 3 flamer throwers will do the trick. I can't believe how much risk you took with your only assault granadier with bazooka... could have been game over for you quite fast had you lost it... also volks and granaderies bad choice against britis... too weak.. too many losses... too much doctrine points for him... it was interesting to see you out number him though... churchwills might have done you in quick.. so I was worried you didnt have any paks...kinda weird... camo paks nice to sneak up on his building.
i usually play 2 bikes and 2 mgs + 2 snipers. that helps a lot also against bren carrier. 2 bikes can kill it very quick.

i have no idea why, but everytime i go vs brits with wermacht, i usually go scorched earth tact and prevent my opponents from ever getting any tanks. usually go all pio with flamethrowers and then mg squads..i know its somewhat a wrong way to go but....meh. it works
can someone help me out? i love stradegy type games and i am new to CoH i want to get it on steam but i was wondering which one i should get first? i mean is CoH 2 better than the first or would you recommend the first game?
+Lachlan Gow If you plan on playing with friends a lot, I would take the first one due to the sheer amount of overhaul mods it has, to the point where you can play a WWI or modern version of the game.
Other than that, I'd do some research into the factions and gameplay of each, because they changed a lot between the two games.
I really dont like coh 2 and in adition to that you have an awesome amount of mods for coh1: Wehrmacht, Panzerelite, Brits, americans, Russians, etc.
Sooooo many reasons for starting with the first part that i cant mention em all ;)

you play defensive doctrine but you dont build any defensive bunkers on vps... that's what did you in... his 560 commandos might try and take down bunkers but still.
You don't need bunkers he only went defence to protect his med bunker from arty, and spamming bunkers is not skill :p
+Fives No man that don't make any sense... he build that med bunker really late in the game... britisch are best defeated by blitzkrieg stuh tanks anyway... easy peasy =D... just defensive doctrine for 1 silly bunker would be silly ! ;) =D unless it's a realllly good respawn location or so ;)
He doesn't need bunkers his enemy would just arty them and kill them, that's all the Brits do when you play defensive just arty.

The deleting thing is weird, I've built trenches in games (not automatch though) and been completely unable to delete them, yet I see other people doing it all the time. Do you have to be IN the trench to delete it?
Is it possible to copy the game folder to another computer and play this on Lan through Steam with a friend?
Thats why you shouldn't really rely much on infantry i mean tanks would have survived that artillery

Cptrex742 Give your first order, hold down Shift, and give the next orders. They'll do them in order. If you want to add an item to the queue after letting go of Shift, just hold Shift again and give the order(s) you want to add on.

Oh my... They number of times I've thought something along the lines of, "your tank is unsupported, run!" :L Never do that. Arty strikes withstanding, it would not be that difficult for him to kill or cripple it for free. The loss of your panzer IV without him having to pay to kill it could have lost you the game.
Also, stop with the blobbing!!! This is not Starcraft!!! Arrrghhhh!!! (seriously, a small and badly microed force eats blob tactics alive and a well mircroed force can force blob retreats every time one appears or kill them all with explosive goodness). Arty is weak against an opponent who takes care not to blob.

I watched a starcraft game the other day and was like... whaaatt?!?! how is this considered better strategy game then COH ?!?!?! this is blobbing, where is the arty :P
Antonovsky Just put some MGs down and single mines can do horrendous manpower damage to blobbers that run over them. Barbed wire is also fantastic for corralling the cattle into pre-prepared I win buttons, coughs... I mean killzones.
Mines ! yess another miss. Those would have been great! MGs are sensative to rifle granades and heroic charge though. Depends on how good the brit is. Still would have liked a second MG much more then the mortar. ;)

Bad luck. Blob wars. You should have considered to build sniper(s) or ostwind instead. Blitz is in my opinion the best doc against brits because of the cloaked storms and StuH. Stuka was perfect! Against Brits allways arty is good

Hey pls upgrading your units weapon...
Nice video. But i felt frustrated watching you pass up oppurtunities to cap either zones or victory spots, i understand you wanting to kill units. But in the end he can just replace them as long as he has a good economy. Had you wrecked his economy he would have had a much harder time keeping the size of his army competitive.

You're missing 1 crucial fact: you can't increase your Manpower income in the game by very much. Both players basically have the same amount of Manpower to spend throughout the entire game. Killing his units reduces how much Manpower he has on the field compared to mine for the rest of the game unless he also kills some of my units and balances out the Manpower loss.

What frustrated me, is you talking about manpower points and then having sooo much infantry (not manpower efficient) and no medic bunker.. which would have given you sooo much zombie squads! you should have gotten one with the first 50 munitions if you go inf heavy, you got it wayy to late.
BTW manpower is in no way the "rarest" resource, Rare doesnt mean what you think it means. :P But i Agree with the manpower war! You can prevent your opponent from getting fuel so he/she cant tech up. But against brits with a truck on medium fuel its a good idea to start the manpower war! Then they need to chose, reinforce squads, or build new units and tech, good call.
AND you should have gotten an AT gun. At gun together with rockets (preventing tanks from circling it) is soo strong!
Sorry if I come off as an A-hole at this point i know i'm harsh, but I really love this game and i hope people keep playing it for a long time. I just think i played it to much cause i really want to get in there and scream at you what i would do :P

Company of Heroes was the original game with the D-Day campaign mission at the beginning. It included 2 factions: the Americans and the Wehrmacht.
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts came out next. It added 2 new campaigns and 2 new factions (Panzer Elite and British).
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor came out last. It included at least 1 new campaign, all 4 factions, and 2 new units for each faction.
The anthology just includes the original game and both of its expansions in 1.
***** I think Tales of Valor add 2 new factions. Panzer Elite and British. The eastern front mod adds , 2 more factions Soviet Union and Ostheer. Oh and cmasupra , please make Europe At War mod battles! Please!

What you think is completely incorrect. And no, I won't be using any mods. I don't like mods. I always prefer to play games the way the developers mean for them to be played.
***** I hate to play the "Default" version of the game , because after some time it gets all very boring , also my mistake British and PE are from opposing fronts. So yeah I got the mods in order to make the game quite interesting , more units , bigger commander trees , new abilities , new sound systems , new damage systems , it makes the game more realistic than playing the stock version in which your sections can survive machinegewehr 42 fire 10 hours and not die , while in the mod - it's a few bursts and they are all dead. That's it!

I can see why you like that mod. It's just personal preference for both of us, really. I like realism in a lot of games, but CoH isn't one of them.

You sound kind of arrogant. Get off your high horse and acknowledge your defeat. You kept criticizing the opponent while making excuses. To many "if I did this" and "I could've". Just because someone is a subscriber, it doesn't mean that you are by default superior to them and their 'teacher'.
Is it wrong of me to point out my mistakes and say what I could've done better as well as state where my opponent made mistakes and say what he could've done better in order to teach you guys?

If you're teaching, make a tutorial. This isn't a tutorial, it's you sounding arrogant and full of yourself like you're the best at this game as well as if that's some sort of accomplishment. Being good at a video game is not an accomplishment.
Pariah, I think he recorded the game and then did his commentary, so when you look back on how you played the game, you always see things that you could have or should have done. He said more than once that his opponent knew better strategies than he did and they were an even match halfway in this match.

Even though I love this game I have to confess that the game is rigged :( they made Wehrmacht wreaker than allies. Allies can get to good tanks faster and have strong artillery and stronger units specially America. American units are both cheaper and stronger like their savage rifle men . For example in this game you were by far a better player you even had all the map but of curse god is with allies in this game :) so you had to loose
