i had to find one of these after seeing your video, it’s amazing how much lite they put out let alone amount of heat, in my opinion a must have for power outages and us preppers thanks for sharing👍
They are pretty cool, I love them for being so simple & mechanical instead of digital :) An excellent resource for wicks & info is the kerosene guru, Miles Stair. www.milesstair.com/
I love the old Perfection heaters. I have 4 of them that I bought and refurbished, and I use them every winter. The key to having no odor is to light them outside or in the garage for about 5 mins and then bring them in the house. They are the best heaters I have ever had. Love them.
Im in central PA as well... I restore perfection products, alladin lamps along with other off grid products and such... The new interest from customers is turning to stuff like we fix up because they too see what is going to be our future and they will be looking for our kind to either learn what we know or they will be buying a working product we restore... act accordingly and use your skill for the greater good for our country... Also too, restore as much as you can because what you have to give can be used to trade for things we might not be good at making... just a thought brother...
I have both of these perfection heaters, the one without the glass globe I bought about a month ago and it was still in the original box, box was never opened, came with the manual. Also it is painted from the factory exactly as you are planing to do yours, Gloss black on the very top, mid section is flat back and glass black on the bottom section. What is a little freaky is that I also live in central Pa. Near Dubois, Pa I am looking forward to winter just so I can use them.
Here's a great resource for info, wicks & pretty much all things Kerosene :) milesstair.com/ Also, there are UA-cam vids on running Diesel in Kerosene heaters (if Kero is expensive in your area) but the heaters must use a cotton wick like in the Perfection heaters, NOT fiberglass like in new heaters,... Guys on YT do diesel tests with Carbon Monoxide alarms to report that it's safe but of course, do you own tests if you are interested,... Kerosene for me here from a gas station is not much more than diesel so I use kero.
Hello . Thank you for your video on this model. I have the exact same one and used the same painting scheme as you after I saw your video; mine was also black but in need of a repaint. Looks sharp! Have you ever used diesel instead of kerosene in this heater? Kerosene makes my lungs very tight and I get a headache. Plus, diesel is more easily accessible for me as long as I add stabilizer and 90% rubbing alcohol to it. Plus, my wick is 100% cotton all the way through. But, I still get a diesel odour which does not give the lung issues but, does smell.
I have never used Diesel but have watched many video's on it & yes, I understand that the wick MUST be Cotton. I am going to sell my 2 Perfection heaters soon, moving on to other things :) A great resource for wicks & all things Kerosene is: www.milesstair.com/
Not really sure,... I believe that they ended production in the late 70's ish,... I know that I love them :) There is a model number on the triangular plate I know that your Kerosene Guru & wick supply store is Miles Stair !... Great prices & service on Wicks & his website is loaded with info,... He answers emails too :) www.milesstair.com
@@davidyummus6259 thanks for the quick reply and the advice! I've searched this one thoroughly and haven't found any tags or model or date codes. The globe has something that is illegible to me. I found that it was made in Cleveland, Ohio USA on the font (flame spreader)
Job well done! I am restoring a Perfection 735 now and am glad I found your video for reference.

That’s an attractive heater. I want one. I have a 730. It does not have the glass globe.
I actually have it for sale locally here in Central PA lol
I paid $200 for one. But it looks just like yours. Someone was very kind to it. Same one. Very beautiful!!!
Looks great 👍
Just go to the automotive store and buy ceramic header paint.

I put my shmeckle on top of mine and it burned it!
I bought one just yesterday and trying to determine when it might have been produced. Do you have any info regarding that?
