I don't agree with this. I have a 97 F250 7.3 supercab as well and i can see literally everything with the little mirrors. I've towed my 30' gooseneck with it and could easily see the entire trailer.
Those old ford tow mirrors are like the rams mirrors. Flip them backwards then turn them in. That way they don’t look so ridiculous when not towing. You will probably like the look of them after

I had a 1994 chevy K3500 Dually and had the small mirrors on it like on the half tons, put the small circle blind spot mirrors in the bottom out side corner of each, and never had any problems towing with it.
I've run 2 inch wheel spacers on my stock Jeep wheels for the last 8 years with no problem. No rubbing with my 31 inch tires whatsoever. Didn't want to buy new wheels because I like the factory ones. All I did was sand them and bedliner them.
The small mirrors suck. Just put some gm style mirrors on my 97 and i love them. The reason uou dont use the newer powerstroke mirrors is because the base takes up the whole wing window while the gm mirror you can still open the wing window
You're putting two inch spacers in the front and none in the rear? Two minches may not sound like much, but it's gonna make a huge difference and it'll be super noticeable if the rear doesn't match

The Duramax mirror swap is the best looking in my opinion. Do that, retint the windows and have Eddie's boys paint.. . Idk what Cali law is. 5% is what I rock on my Raptor and TRD PRO 4 Runner. I mean doing that probably $2-3k. You'll make that on the next 5 videos.

I like my GM mirror swap, you just need to buy the right kit in order to eliminate mirror shake. The little stock plastic mirrors look good and perform ok for a single cab with a shortened, but for your truck, towing anything will be a pain.
Anybody who says a SAS is "easy" has never done one themselves, especially if going with coil springs instead of leafs(yuck). The geometry of everything has to line up perfectly if you want to have a good ride and not chew through tires.
The 2wd frames have the holes where the 4x4 mounting brackets go. The problem is getting the rivets out for 2wd and riveting the large new brackets in.
Just do the GM tow mirrors I did it on my 95 an it looks way better I went with the mounting base for the 90’s Chevy cuz they are smaller but I have the newer 15 an up style on it an for fuel tanks you can swap out the back tank with a 33 gallon Bronco tank I’m planning on doing that as well
Another thing is with 12.50 wides and stock wheels or without spacers or offset my brake lines got rubbed in half from my wheels rubbing them, lucky I was in a driveway both times when they rubbed in half, I replaced them 2 times before getting spacers...
I hate the factory xlt mirrors. You will wanna smash em with a hammer if you ever tow with it. I pull a 28 foot fifth wheel and a 22 foot flat deck and they suck for visibility. And id axle swap it. These trucks are super hard to find really clean.

Find A Ford F2 50 Front Street axle and do a straight axle swap it would be much cheaper to find that at like a junkyard that still is good then have to go get the same year just in a 4 Wheel Dr. version or not even the same year but have to find maybe a downgrade to a 250 so I suggest maybe go to a junkyard to get somebody with you that you know who knows vehicles and you both go look at some straight axles so cause it would be much easier just to do the straight axle swap and everything then half to get a new truck

Nah man, if a 4x4 conversion was SO CHEAP AND EASY everyone would do it. You need either a new transmission or a divorced transfer case also. Stick with what you have. If you want a 4x4 get a 4x4.

I tow a 6 horse trailer on my crewcab longbed obs with thoses mirrors an I can see fine.
