yea definitely feel this had someone else mix and mastered one of my songs and it lost its aura. and other times had someone play keys on my song it it made it 10x better. I agree it all depends and you have to explore 💯
I really related to this. I appreciate your insight man! Sometimes making music when you don’t feel is super difficult, but it might be exactly what you should do in that moment.
I made a beat in the last few hours as well. I pretty much just release everything unless it's especially terrible. I hope that years into the future I'll be able to listen to my previous stuff and compare it to the newest stuff. I want it as a record and archive. I don't want much in life. Just fun people, loud speakers, psychedelics, and cats.
Totally agree with being a control freak about creating your art! Its the one vision that you’re actively able to fulfill and sometimes its hard to give that up working with others. But i’ve found some people have energies that can either detail or broaden your vision with new perspectives
Couldn't agree more with the vision aspect. In order to make my road map I need to push the boundaries of creativity, hence experimenting on projects as such.
hey ro. I like your new songs here's some dance-ish bands to peruse: Brighten - Acoustic (2018) Balance and Composure - With You In Spirit (2024) Bad Love - singles Buddy Peace - Ooze (2022) JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU (2024)
Could you be a bit too critical of your own music. There are artists that thought a song was not that great but it wound up being one of their biggest hits. I feel your own criticism could hold you back.
brilliant
