- This video is about How to get to the Santa Paula Punch Bowls ! be aware that google search and safari DO NOT take you to the exact trail head , google takes you to the front gate of someones private property and safari takes you to Thomas Aquinas college. The actual intrance is 300 ft past the college ! please pick up your trash and any other you may see ! follow the spray painted arrows and other signals you may see , have fun and be safe
Just like I said in the video , you have to learn how to pick up after yourselves , I’m getting a lot of comments saying it’s closed due to trash from the crowds coming to this spot. Pretty disgusting to say the least. Leave the disrespect and bring nothing but healthy good vibes to areas like these. Paint on canvases not rocks and if you’re drinking put the empty cans-bottles IN YOUR BAG. If you can’t handle the sauce while having a good time and being clean about it all together these places are not for you. 💯
Hi, Do you know if the trail is now open?
@@lucerolucero4494 from the reviews it does say it’s open !
@@sitdownandvibewithme3981 awesome!!!! It’s a far drive and didn’t want to take it and not be able to enjoy the hike and water 🙂 in your opinion, do u think kids around 10yr would be ok to take the hike? With lots of water and sun block of course.
@@lucerolucero4494 it would be healthy for them , great place to drain the kids energy to enjoy a peaceful ride home ! Lol it’s long but not hard at all with plenty of water and probably a snack they’ll be more than prepared!
@@sitdownandvibewithme3981 much thanks! I appreciate your feedback 👍🏼
Amazing video
Thanks
Thank you !!
Great video! I live off the 150 love SP!!
Thank you ! And heck yeah it’s a great place 🤙🏾
Went there today it's a beautiful hike and workout made it up the 3 rd Punch bowl were you could slide of into the water all round good experience
I had no idea those pools existed ! Wish I would’ve had the time to hike over ! Good to hear it’s open and doing well 🤙🏾💯
Is it still trashed & covered with graffiti ?
@@destinationdezz1588 no it's clean
@@kayokayo2520 thank goodness, hope it stays that way 🤞🏾
is the water deep?
Hi. thanks for the video. Can some body tell me if it good go in july this summer?
I would try to go on a weekday as the trail is very popular! And bring a lot of water it can get pretty hot
trail is closed until September 30th now. volunteers have been cleaning up trash for months as well as cleaning the spray paint and graffiti off of the rocks.
Steve Z that’s so great to hear , this trail was by far one of the more messy ones , if it was up to me I’d regulate the number of people to have access to it
@@sitdownandvibewithme3981 absolutely agree. it may be something where people will need a permit. i've been going there since the early ninety's and about 7 years ago it was so bad I haven't gone back since. I would go at least once or twice a year. Can't even imagine how bad it had gotten to be shut down.
Steve Z I’ll never understand the spray painting it’s just not the right scene , as for the trash I don’t get how it’s not hard to carry it in with product in it then to carry it back when it’s empty from consumption.
Straight vibin 🤙🏼 luv the vids man!
Johnny Lopez thanks man 🤙🏾 I do it for y’all ! Thanks for the support 💯
Fishing, Hiking, Weed... great videos man!
thank you appreciate the view and comment ! just trying to put people on to good vibes and good spots !
This trail has been CLOSED by the forest service due to overcrowding, trash, graffiti and illegal parking.
mbearwoman thanks for the information ! Looks like it’ll be a while until I can get back to this place , looks like you guys are going to have to enjoy this video for the mean time
Is open some one know pls
Is open some one know pls
Any word?
Haven’t been to this spot since I posted the video. But I would call the city in where the trail is located to ask before taking the long drive up there.
Theirs snakes omg
It is a pretty remote area , and considering the fact it’s closed at the moment and will be for sometime will probably make the wildlife come out more then usual, so there’s something to look forward too when coming back to this spot !
@@sitdownandvibewithme3981 i won’t go I’m scared lol
I will go with u next time
Is there mosquitos? 🦟
nicolas schell when I went it was still kinda cold , but I bet right now in the summer there’s probably is , bring some spray in case !
Great vid im trying to go soon but its prob still closed
Yoel Quevedo if you go let me know if it is or isn’t open I’d like to go back but everyone keeps saying it’s over crowded , but thank you ! I appreciate the support !
How many miles round trip?
7 to 8 miles round trip , it’s like 3.5 up and back
How deep is the water? Never gone there but planning to go sometime soon with some friends
Mares260 the deepest is about 5 ft. But the water is very cold !
I wouldn’t come anytime soon, they closed it down bc of the amount trash & people there is
I went there today and still closed 😪 there is no parking
Update?
How far is the hike there! To get to the bowls??
javi X it’s about an hour and a half , two if you take your time / sight see
I'm dying to go here but I'd hate to go through the trouble n find it closed. Is there a website or someplace I can get information from?
baddmabbajabba it’s in one of the responses in the comments !
Can you ride your bike there?
MannyXsicko 818 if you had a really good mountain bike I don’t see why not , some parts towards the end do get really rocky though so you might end up walking the last .2 of a mile
sitdownnvibewme okay thank u!
sitdownnvibewme another question, is the trail open still during the covid 19 right now? I live pretty far from where this trail is at , but I’m not sure if u would know?
MannyXsicko 818 no problem ! And this trail is pretty under the radar in that area like besides the college it’s in the middle of a lot of hills , and my guess is there’s probably not a lot of people right now because of covid to begin with
sitdownnvibewme Oo okay thank u!
