I've been too nervous to attempt this race but it looks fun. Have you driven the Porsche? That car seems to be better on fuel and wheel spin.
I just couldn't get on with the porsche. Used the R8 instead. Was struggling with tire wear at the start but if you do as David says and keep it in a straight line it's probably just the better car. Doesn't help with tire wear when your using the controller also!

Yeah i couldn't deal with the r8's tire melting power i usually pick the benz but the benz was to heavy to go fast i ended up in the porche bb +1 tc 1 for lap 1 then everything off
I usually take the first and last section flat out then save the rest. You tried other cars? Used the maclaren and the atenza which were usable. Also tried the Viper but was out of fuel by lap 4 😂 should of just pitted but made it too the end in 15/16 JUST 😂

Hey David, I race in the US F4 championship and I always drive this game with the same amount of caution that I would IRL, and I feel slow because I’m always about 1 second off the 10th time on the Top 10 Stars, in the game - and I’ve gotten really frustrated because I can’t seem to go much faster. Where do you feel you stand, since you’re a real driver and use this game?

I don't play GT sport but instead play iRacing, I was wondering if you do any setup work in this game, or just jump in and drive the car on a fixed setup that everyone uses. If it was all fixed setup I'd probably play this over iRacing :/

For the daily races and FIA races everyone uses the default set-up for their chosen vehicle (cannot be changed) and BOP is enforced. So whilst different vehicles will provide varying performance in different aspects, it is designed to be more based on skill and technique rather than overall vehicle performance.
Hey mate, in GT Sport and iRacing I stick with the fixed setup and focus on my driving instead
Is it just me or my steering wheel is really stiff and like as soon as i go on a curb it feels like it'll gonna brake in pieces
Seeing how the race is a lot more slow and needs more attention to inputs, I do better than I think against the opposition even if I'm not satisfied with the quali time.
