- Avant de découvrir la musique électronique, Rene Wise était un inconditionnel de la batterie - tout comme son père, un batteur professionnel iranien. Des racines qui influencent énormément ses compositions aux beats techno qui invitent à danser sur des rythmes encensés.
Les sets de ce jeune DJ et producteur britannique dégagent une grande puissance sonore, mêlant des polyrythmes et des couches à multiples platines qui invitent instantanément à la danse. En 2018, Rene Wise signe un EP numérique sur le label de Mark Broom, Beardman-Imprint, avant de sortir son premier 12 pouces officiel chez Mote-Evolver, le label phare d’un pionnier de la techno, Luke Slater. Des créations saluées par des pointures telles que Rødhad, Freddy K, Blawan et DVS1.
Concert filmé le 8 juillet 2023 à l'occasion du festival Stone Techno au Zollverein, site inscrit au Patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO.

Saw him closing Berghain last weekend. 8h of pure perfection. He never lets you go, creates these incredible journeys and was putting the whole dancefloor in trance. Combined with the new out of this world F1 soundsystem at Berghain this whole set was something else. Perfectionists at work, thank you Funktion 1, thank you Rene Wise - proper techno opera.
I was there, he was sublime, so dense and deep, a futuristic post-apocaliptic empowering journey. I'll never forget that night.

Rene Wise Deserves all The Success In The World!
This is actually the very first time hearing Rene Wise-absolutely impressed! I love his raw/minimal tweaky techno. He also is very consistent and stays within his niche which I prefer! Rene reminds me of Maron who I also am a big fan of. Thank you again Arte Concert for being the best audio and visual recording/broadcasting company in the world!
Same here, but Rene is on a different level, when it comes to mixing technique and track selection.
Apparently Marron uses multiple unreleased tunes of Rene in his sets, so that also explains why their sound is so similar
marron and rene wise both are part of eerste communie, a collective based in the Netherlands. They all sound very similar in some ways, and share a lot of unreleased music I guess
Rene Wise is from Eerste Communie, same label as Marron ;) that might explain something about his style being so look-a-like
In fact, this as I just found out, is Rene just going on right after Marron did his set.
This is excellent. Rene’s a superb producer and this just proves what a great DJ he is too.
Wow... I'm delighted! Until a few minutes ago I didn't even know who Rene Wise was or that he was such a gifted techno DJ. Now that I know this, I will probably never forget this name again unless I suffer from Alzheimer's or dementia. lol Coming back to you Rene.. fantastic sound extremely good.

this is one techno event I have fomo over missing out. Over the years, you learn that you can't participate in every event and learn to accept misses, but this one just hits too close to home. I know it's going to be a swamp in there!

I was lucky enough to see Rene close Berghain for the first time this weekend in Berlin. An unforgettable 8.5hour magical groovy deep hypnotic and tribal at times journey. I will never forget that set. THANK YOU!
