    This is by far the best video I've watched regarding this camera. This guy isn't trying to be a comedian, he actually is giving me the information I've been needing. I'm not a computer geek but I wanted a security camera system that was affordable. My dilemma was trying to program the record times and playback. He was very explicit which I really appreciated.

    Thanks for the video. Just set up this system today and had figured out most of the menus, you were a big help! I still have to set up the phone app and may have to get a younger person to help me with that. Only had one problem and it turned out to be the monitor/tv I was using. The logo Heimvision would display at start up but the cameras video never appeared. HDMI to my computer monitor worked great. Go figure. Just wanted to mention in case anyone watching your video had that problem too. Appreciate your efforts in keeping America great!

    Great job in explaining the system in detail. As always. Looks neat and decent. Only is the NVR compatible with third party cameras, say Lorex or even the cheaper ip cameras s.a. foscam, Yi or Wyze cam and vise versa, does these cameras work with third party software and app, say "TinyCam" ? If so would the PTZ on this work with them?
    Additionally, are you able to manually port forward the cameras and set up the WAN as you need? I assume, this working on your LAN (If so chosen) should not take much bandwidth from your internet, especially if you happened to have a lower band width, to start.
    Good job.

      Sam Sen Thanks for watching, unfortunately the cameras that will work properly with the HM241 our HeimVision models. As for cross platform apps there are two listed for iOS not sure about android the two are Heimlife and Heimkits I use Heimkits and have had no issues thus far. Finally yes you can port configure each additional new camera via Ethernet port on NVR unit, the unit itself has its own built in WiFi with each additional camera acting as a WiFi extender for greater range away from NVR thus helping your band usage should you decide to attach to your existing internet connection. The main purpose for using the NVR with your pre-existing Internet connection via home router is for the ability to track incidences via remote from your cell phone app. Hope this helps answer your questions and thanks for watching👍🏼✌🏼

    I have had this system in place for half a year and it works well. I've just added a fifth camera which works fine and shows on the monitor live feed, but I can't get it to record on the hard drive. I can only record four cameras at one time, it seems. I am having trouble viewing my HM241 software. When I connect it to the TV, the initial welcome screen appears and then the image disappears, in a 4K TV it tells me to lower the resolution of the connected external equipment, in a 720p TV the image does not disappear and I cannot access the software, I was able to connect it using NETWORK LAN and the Mobile App but I have not been able to access the internal system of the NVR. You can help?

    • @solisapaul
      @solisapaul  2 роки тому

      Thanks for watching keep in mind you have both the option of doing hardwired to each camera or the fact that they have built-in Wi-Fi antennas therefore no cables are needed other than the power cable? If you still feel the need to do hardwired(cabled)then you can probably purchase a inline RJ45 Coupler so that you can extend the length of the data cable from the camera to the HM241. I hope this answers your question. Stay safe👍🏽✌🏽

    • @solisapaul

      The alarm can be triggered by cars passing by, cats, dogs, birds etc.. the alarm can either be sent via mobile device or from the NVR miniature speaker that will buzz, this can become annoying due to false negatives. Depends on how you set it up. Hope this helps.

      got to figure that out on ur own. drill holes... figure out where u want the cameras... and where there is power plug in... can get extension power cables of various lengths off E bay and splitters... 8 into 1 power splitter... 4 into 1 power... 2 into 1... and other power supplies as can prolly run 2 cameras off one power supply that the 2 cameras are close to the electrical power plug in/ extension cord. that is the trick... that tkaes some thinking. where do i want the camera... where is the nearest electrical pllug in.. inside out of the weather and the wires run high enuf so they cant be cut as no power= no camera so it has to be high enuf they cant do something to the camera or the power supply.

      Thanks for watching, you have two options that I know of, 1. You can disable 1 or 2 cameras if possible and not really needed 2. The HM241 has its own built in WiFi you can just use its Wifi, the only difference is not using your home WiFi will not allow you to notifications on your mobile while your away. The only other solution that comes to mind is refreshing your WiFi settings on your router to clear any congestion on 2.4 and 5 hz band and perhaps drop other WiFi devices around the house. Not sure who your provider is bit mines at@t and I have the 1gb data speeds and my house uses several WiFi devices on a daily bases. Hope this helps, and please stay safe.👍🏽✌🏽

All the camera does is send the video captures to the HM241 it doesn’t store video within the camera.
