What do you mean “but michi, pride was two months ago”?? Every month is pride month, duh!!
I’ve always wanted to attend LGBTQ+ events and particularly Pride March and since COVID restrictions have eased a bit in NYC and I’ve become slightly more confident in who I am, I figured why not! So I vlogged my first time at Pride, as well as supporting small queer businesses at the Hester's Street Fair Pride Market. That weekend was definitely one of the highlights of the summer, and I hope it comes through in the video...even if it did take me two months to edit. Shout out to all the people past and present whose unfaltering love, organizational strength, and dedication to civil rights paved the way for social and political LGBTQ liberation. Under rainbow flags and upbeat music and glittering confetti, it is the love and devotion to doing the work that we truly celebrate.
