Question for ya - Which Pellet Grill do you like the best > From others I have heard from they prefer Grilla Grills Pellet Grills the best... I am looking to getting one and I like to hear other peoples thoughts...
I didn’t see any smoke coming from either of the traegers. I have a 1yr old pro22 and a new pro 780 and I feel like I never see smoke from my new 780 like I do with my pro22. What do you think being that your pretty much owned them all including your ironwood
Yea Anthony, I went back and watched the video, and you're right as far as not being able to see smoke. It does seem like some days they smoke a bit more than others. I have cooked meats on them before that has large smoke rings, and then sometimes not much at all. It is hard to explain....I don't recall what pellets that I was using for this cook, but I do think that has something to do with it. The Ironwood is my 2nd favorite behind my Traeger XL as far as smoke production. The ironwood because I can utilize the supersmoke setting. The XL however produces as much smoke as my offset smoker.
@@JusPiddlinBBQ ok thanks for the reply. I think the older controllers like one your xl produce more visible smoke than the newer PID controllers. Guess it’s a trade off for the WiFi
Amazing......did they use the same amount of pellets?
The 780 my have used just a bit more but not enough to be concerned over. Thanks you.
Good looking cooks on both. Bark looked amazing.
I am contemplating between the pro 575 or the 780, will a 20 lb turkey easily fit in the smaller one, or a large pizza. Do i need the bigger one for a family of 4, or sometimes maybe if have a few friends over. right now it is only $100 more for the 780, should i go big or go home?
Amazing will be buying the smaller 575 because this video. Thank you sir!
Good to see you again Sandy. I'm still enjoying the Grilla Grills SB with the new alpha smoke controller. I gotta admit that those newer Traegers are nice. Their marketing and social media are great too. Those butts look great from both smokers.
I missed it, what temp did you want after foil was on?
Not really wanting a temp as much as just being probe tender, but usually that happens after 200F. Don't take it off until it feels tender to your liking.
What was the total cook time per pound at 250?
Are you happy with the amount of smoke your getting on the pro 575? You using traeger pellets or a different brand? Looks great!
I think he said he was using the Traeger Signature Series pellets if I'm not mistaken. 👍🏼
I’m hungry again. Thanks Sandy
What kind of sauce did you use?
I make my own sauce.
@@JusPiddlinBBQ recipe out there anywhere or a family secret? :)
Hans Lain family secret. I’m trying to get it bottled but I sell it on my website at www.juspiddlinbbq.com.
Can you fit a brisket on the 575
Yes
Do you notice the size difference between the 2 a lot I’m having a hard time deciding which 1 to get it’s just me and my Fiancé but I also like to cook a good amount for football parties
