If you ever get a chance you should canoe and camp Stillwater reservoir it’s on the western side of the adk near old forge. It’s a huge and relatively quiet reservoir with free camping first come first serve. All of them are on the water. There is also some good hikes up to three other lakes that can only be accessed from the reservoir that are good for camping along with a nice hike to a newly renovated fire tower. If your ever interested I could give you a tour, my family has had a camp there since the 40s

I remember doing still water with a buddy of mine but oh Lord was it exhausting cause we went in an old dagger canoe. That stretch of water on a manual boat felt like an eternity. Best bass fishing I ever had tho.

The Adirondacks are the most beautiful place on earth. I want so badly to come home to them and live out the rest of my years there. They are the home of my heart. 💖

Are those drone shots in the beginning? I would think that is not allowed but sure you either know or they are not.

Yes they are drone shots and they are very much legal in the area I was. It’s only wilderness zones that you can’t. This is all Saranac lake wild forest.

Hi Jonathan, I’m 13 and I met you at High Peaks Cyclery in August with my family. Great video as always. We are thinking about doing our first winter hike this year. Any recommendations for our first one? Thank you.

Do some smaller mountains first from the LP9! Then I’d pretty much go up to Cascade, Big Slide, and Phelps
