It’s frustrating every time I start combos or get a couple air strings, my opponent air dodges everytime and I can’t continue the combo. I punish them for air dodging but the comboing is much more satisfying to do.
I understand combos on bigger characters with bigger hit boxes but I’m struggling to find reliable combos on characters that are the same size as Mario if not smaller.
Bruh when watching the tournaments all the pros seem like the most sweaty serious Boiz You’ve ever seen and then u go to their channels and elegant makes a Luigi skin tier list and zenyou’s telling you never to use the mariomaker skin 😂

Not really needed for this character. Not really needed for most characters, in fact. Attack cancelling saves you like 2-4 frames on an extremely small input window. Its so niche. Why even bother learning it? You get more out of b reverses and wave bouncing for the same level of tech skill
@@johannessguten2527 you dont need attck cancels to combo into bair after a landing uair. Especially at percents high enough for bair to kill. You can combo into fair after a landing uair starting as low as 35% on most of the cast, and fair is 10 frames slower than bair. Landing uair>bair is easy af to hit by comparison. If you cant rar bair in a window as large as 10 frames, then you more than likely dont have the execution to attsck cancel reliably anyway. Not to mention that attack cancels dont allow you to full hop, which means your combo window is effectively tighter because you cant follow up after hitting a landing uair past 65-70%, if not earlier. Im telling you man. Attack cancelling is next to useless for most characters.
Lol Mario is not the easiest character. All the heavies are easier, palutena is easier, yoshi is easier etc... Cape is not super easy to use, fludd isn't either. His forward air (the most common aerial for noobs) takes forever to come out. His recovery is on the weaker side. He can't kill easy. With palu, just get one up air at kill percent and they're dead.
I like how this video started out as a legitimate attempt at a combo guide but then slowly descended into showing off and then self-hatred. Respect.

Mario Maker costume is top tier and you can't tell me otherwise. American Mario is the most irrelevant and hideous costume, no competition
