- Cooking up a storm for the team one evening. We usually all get together once a week so, after work, I decided to light the firepit and cook Lamb & Vegetables.
This is not for your lightweight trips, it's for basecamp and longer excursions. Besides, I am not a big fan of Pot Noodles and chocolate bars....
Before you say..."That's not very Bushcraft", I completely disagree. Anyone can eat a ration pack and be cold under a tarp, Bushcraft is using all your acquired knowledge and skills to live well in the field, not survive.
Apple Guy here! Love the recipe and set up! Cheers!
Like the idea of a Dutch oven, easy cooking. Agreed just the best Chorizo going !!!
That looks totally delicious. I like to use my boar for wood and a Swiss army knife for the food prep. I've never used a Dutch oven before, one day though I hope to give it a go, as most things Dutch are good. Thanks for sharing 😋👍😊
mike_outdoors 1981 It sounds as though you have the same philosophy as me, right tool for the right job.
I think everything just tastes better cooked over the fire and a Dutch oven is a real bonus for such things.
I hope to do some more demos in future.
Lovely coffee jar
Love Dutch oven cooking over a campfire, just put it in your mates pack to carry lol

paul carr always to good to hear from a happy customer 👍🏻
Your cook knives are good but for me the Opinel is the best bet for camp cooking, a lot cheaper too :-)
Nice video mate.
Looks fantastic! Curious, I haven't heard of petromax. I hear that they are German but, is there Iron made in Germany or China?
Great video. What was the large trivet you use in the Dutch oven?
John McLean it is the Petromax trivet we sell in store
All looked good
Could you say what the tinder box was that you used please
Thanks
Matthew Smith It was Live Fire which is available in store

Hi thanks for coming back to me. I normally use cotton wool and face pads in vaseline and wax. That looked satisfyingly neat a good addition.
Thanks
was that an FT9 & FT6 ?
I think it was an FT9
