Now I know the true beauty of these traditional meets modern. I really like the jigbone handle with a flipper action, it’s a nice take. I moved as a child so I didn’t spend much time with my grandfathers, moving to a state where I had no family other than my mother and sister. I now have a classic slip joint knife that belonged to my grandfather, well I left it behind at my mother’s and she has a bad habit of losing my belongings but when I had it in hand it was special not for how fancy it was yet for the memories ingrained into the handles. The blade was well kept sharp, great shine and the edges it’s a shame I couldn’t have learned from him while I still had center vision back then. Whoa, I didn’t mean to type what I was remembering but you really brought me back to the few memories mentioning “Pa’s (grandpa’s) knife.” I am liking both traditional and traditional/modern folders with and without pocket clips. I feel that the jigbone is perfect without but damn then I am left having it lose in my pocket sideways or preferably fifth pocket or inside jacket pocket. I am starting to take a fancy to traditional and modern takes of traditional folders. Oh, I remember my grandfather’s slip joint folder was used for fishing or at least that was the impression I got while holding it and the spot stain of blood that only would be left from such a thing as fishing. I really missed out moving out of the country to the big city as a child where crime bs was the replacement for fishing. Joyous blessings all. ☯️

Very nice! I really like that they went with jigged bone! It’s like a beefy Barlow flipper. The jigged bone is my favourite 1929 but my eyes are still locked in on the Ox bone Holliday. Thanks for showing the new 1929 off again!!
I picked up the Holiday and Cimarron from DLT and they are fantastic small knives. Crawdad is sharp, but I would like to see the 1929 with a primary scale color of red bone type with black within that.
I didn't mind the name out on the blade. I think the original positioning was fine. I'm a big fan of the badge/shield in the scales too. If I had to choose my Favorite is a tie between Tikuna and Holliday. You need the red g10 handle of the 1929. I got mine from TradionalPocketknives.
I can"t choose, they both are very nice i like the bladshape, the fit and finish, the whole design is great. It"s one of the best designed knife that I have seen the last years.
That moving the markings down to the tang is incredible. I didn't mind it the other way but that is just a perfect look. The Dark Denim looks really good as well. Neef the Cocobola when I can get it. The jigged bone is the perfect combination of traditional meets modern. Great video. Finch is really putting out great knives.
Michael, White Mountain Knives sells Finch. They deliver to Canada and get things across the border. I was skeptical so I ordered a Kubey Nova...$70 US including shipping. I did not have high hopes. Sure enough, it showed up today. Did not have to pay duty or taxes!!
Wow amazing looking 1929 knives. My question is people really like them but how often do they actually carry them? It would be more of a knife form when you dress up for something special, or if you have a nice office job. Very classy looking traditional.
I am trying to limit myself to 2 knives this year because I am old and I have more than enough. This one looks great. Like you said, it's a great blend of traditional and modern. I'm old enough to be a grandpa, I just don't want to feel like one.
Yeah, I’m with you on the Finch. Really beautiful designs, merging the classic pocket knife with modern technology. I dig it. I find many modern knives to be cold, miss the warmth of wood and bone of grandpa knives. Grandpa knives ain’t no fun to flip, though. Plays hell with the fingernail. :) I need a Finch. The refresh is fine. I like the old shield better, but no biggie.
I agree, that is a great blend of trad and modern, even more poignant for me is, it was my mum's birth year. I like the blade steel too, 154 is under used by knife makers.
Those are cool. Might be the fist knife I spend more than 30.00 bucks on lol. Those look classy. I like cool cool looking knifes, since that’s why I buy them, I just look at my knifes, I don’t cut stuff, aside from my fingers. That bone one looks better.
What the hell is a craw daddy. I know what a crawfish is good times and good eating. Just kidding but I can wait until the first crawfish boil of the season
I got the last new Crawdad 1929 from Spencer this morning. I am very pleased and lucky to have it. It`s just beautiful!
Awesome!

I like them both , but the jigging is cool with the luminous shield , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Thank you very much Michael!!
I usually don’t like wide blades.... but I think I’m going to get one. I just love the blend of classic and newer knives.

That is a sweet looking knife. Love them. I get what you are talking about here. Melding the old with the new. I like it...very sweet looking knife.

Baron's Man Cave in Memphis, Tennessee now carries Finch knives if anyone is trying to see them in person.
Oh cool! Thanks for sharing!!
I agree, the jigging and the colors on that version are perfect against the sort of brushed steel finish.
Really does look fantastic!! Thanks Acetone!!
Just got my holiday in ghost g10 and it’s freaking ridiculous…Can’t wait to get a matching 1929.
Awesome Zachary!!
A couple of beauties....The Finch company is making some really cool knives and they are all different too....Good stuff....
