I HAAATED Coheed when I was in high school and college because I was a metal elitist and thought it was emo but now at 37 and more accepting, Coheed is really exceptional, great to blast at the pool, solid summer music for me
I had heard favor house Atlantic, and went out to buy in keeping secrets, but the hot topic only had second stage, and I bought it on a whim and I drove a 95 jeep Grand Cherokee when I was 17-18, and that album stayed in that cd player for a few years, it was literally the only cd I kept in that vehicle. Such nostalgia, remembering learning how to drive, with the boys, we all enrolled at the same driving school and took turns learning how to drive and we all carpooled to highschool. Man, those were the days.
I woke up with this song stuck in my head, I hadn't listened to it in 15 years, I decided to play it at 9am and now I'm crying, listening to it for the 5th or 6th time in a row. I miss growing up.
HEAVY nostalgia with this album and song. Was the first Coheed song I ever heard and fell in love, then remember seeing them in Charlotte in 2011 and no band has ever came close in concert since.

I was 12 or 13, same thing bud. My dad died of a heroin overdose - my mom has moved us into my grandma's house and I was sleeping on the couch, failing at school. I didn't give a fuck about anything except my cd player and my skateboard. I don't even know why I got the album, my god. Grabbed it from the store I think along with the system of a down album both had just come out. Time consumer, delirium trigger, everything evil changed my young life. And I was already aware of a broad range of music too. Had never heard anything like this before, shook me to my core. Emotion pouring off. Good god it's been over twenty years.
Even at this early stage, Claud was a far superior composer and storyteller than his contemporaries, there's not even a comparison, this song bleeds pure emotion from every note.
