RoomBox is a game changer for the the very reasons you mentioned. It saves a lot of time and memory. I'm excited to try creating custom maps in PhotoShop. Thanks for posting!

This is pretty cool. Definitely a game changer for those who do exterior renderings! Wish I did more exterior renderings. I don't suppose it would work on interior office videos, only static renderings. Sometimes I only want to model a high -profile area in an office video, but wish I could fill in generic work spaces and conference rooms in the distance. Maybe that's next.

I think it might work for something like that, but I think it would really depend on how close your camera gets to those rooms. I'd download it and try it out with the free rooms they offer :)

Very Cool. They've been doing this kind of thing in game design for years. I always find it interesting how the Architectural Visualisation industry is always so behind the game developers. Glad we have it now on SU.

Awesome info. So much better than filling interior scenes sloppily, or the poor look of flat JPEG images behind the windows.

I’m an interior designer… what software or plugin would you recommend for me to photo realistically render an interior? Easy to use.

Any render engine is fine. The real deal is to learn how to do post production of the render in photoshop. Thats the game changer

There's a few good ones - generally if you're looking for easy to use, I'd recommend something realtime. I know a LOT of interior designers that use Enscape. You might also try Twinmotion. D5 gets good results but requires very stout hardware.

Sorry totally off-topic. Would you ever consider learning/teaching Houdini? Procedural cities and 3D assets.

Lol - I'd like to, but I just don't have the time right now. Honestly THAT level of nodes has never been my thing. I feel like I could learn it, but the mental energy it would take would probably negatively affect my ability to create for the channels I already have
