- December 1st, 2019 - Biblical scholar and pastor, Rev. Dr. Renita J. Weems delivers an energetic and inspiring message at the home church of Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II in Goldsboro, North Carolina to close out the annual Women's Day Weekend.
Watched for the 3rd time from 5:10 p.m.-6:00 p.m.This was so inspirational for me. I love how Weems intertwined justice into the theological piece of the sermon. I think we were able to get all three Renita's in one setting. What a privilege!
I started watching at 3:56pm and finished watching at 4:55pm. I really loved the message of the sermon. Rev. Dr. Renita Weems started her sermon by acknowledging the privilege of carrying everything in prayer to God and that we are here to worship. She read the scripture from Exodus 14:5-19. I was impressed with the message of moving forward. Tell the people to go forward. This is a compelling message as it helps us to understand that God is always with us for our deliverance.
Start time 8:15pm and finish time 9:15pm. I am floored by this beautiful sermon and absolutely love how she wove in the women that made the Exodus possible and even how God is compared to a mother who "comes to see about you." Such profound Womanist theology and Spirit-led preaching.
Iang Iang: Started 12:17-12:58PM. "Everyone has the Red Sea in their life" That hits right on the heart. Christianity is all about faith and trusting God.
Started 12:26 a.m. Finished 1:27 a.m. What a powerful word! I say all the time that prayer does not change things but changes you until things change. I love how Dr Weems put hands and feet on this statement: move forward. We have stood still long enough. Time to move! Forward together.
Victoria Robinson. Started 7:10, ended 8:00pm. Thank you for sharing this sermon with us. What will stick with me is Dr. Weem’s emphasis on the forward movement required of us, but more than that it’s the forward movement with other people. We don’t do ministry in a vacuum!
Amber Brantley- I started the video at 3:38p.m.- and ended on 4:15p.m. This sermon really blessed me today! I am moving forward; I won't go back- moving in faith! Forward together- how do we move forward together in this generation?
I enjoyed the message and that is the way a message is given also from Sunday School and Bible Class
Start time: 7:45 - end time 8: 25pm. It is a powerful sermon. United in Faith, let us walk together toward a future that glorifies God in all endeavors. "Keep moving."

Started 11/27 2:00 pm, finished 2:40 pm - Moses told the people to stop moving but God told Moses to tell the people to move forward! How many times do we read in the Bible God, or an angel of God saying "do not be afraid!", and yet we are still prone to freeze in our tracks in fear. God said "tell the people to keep moving!"
Daniel Kwon - started: 6:45pm ~ ended 7:25 : there were two strong statements that came into my mind, God is always in the future. Forward together not one step back.
started 1:50pm and finished 2:50pm. this is a call to take action, to do something, to move forward, and not to cry over the unpleasant circumstances. This action will prosper in unity and not in division..
Courtney Anne Henry- start 8:40pm / finish 9:20 | comment/question- I love how Weems talks about God uses ordinary people (and we can infer ordinary moments). My question is how can we better pay attention to the ordinary things happening all around us verses waiting on something big or earth shattering?
Amazing to see/hear a brilliant scripturally educated loving Social Justice focused, as was/is our Lord, woman of God preaching. So glad the amazing Rev Dr. William Barber II, had this woman, Rev. Dr. Renita J. Weems, speak, at that you offered it over the net. Also, was wonderful watching Rev Barber so enjoying the message and the spirit. Loved her handling of Hebrew Scripture also.
Started @ 8:24 am; ended at 9:29 am. Loved this and plan to share it! Question: Why do we feel the need to compare our generational sufferings. Dr. Weems said we all have a Ferguson, an Edmund Pettus, a Tinamen Square, etc…how can we as leaders help bridge the inter generational gap to see that suffering and injustice needs our actions and not comparison?
Keep Moving
He sung that with Truth in his spirit.
Jabari McKie-Start Time: 10:46 am. End: 11:26 am. We have to keep moving forward, and bring others along in the continuous fight for justice.

Angela Bailey, I started the video @ 11:50 am and completed it @ 12:30 pm. Question: Depending on the situation or law, how far does one go in breaking the rules as a source of anguish to get results, justice, or retribution?
Thank-you!!
