The LMP1 won because it has more speed in the straight line.... and 200 bhp more than the current F1 cars. Thats a big advantage. But you could see it in the last part of the circuit the f1 car gets closer to the LMP1 because the F1 could reach higher speeds in curves. They are two very different cars made it with different purposes.... the LMP1 was created thinking in Lemans.
It’s actually the 919 Evo, if you for some reason don’t know what that is, google it. It was not made for Le Mans, it was made as a tribute for the Le Mans 919 hybrid, they are two different things...
919 EVO is not a LMP 1 car. It had nothing built according to LMP 1 specification. For the LMP 1 version you mean 919 Hybrid, which is significantly slower and is a few hundred kilowatts short.
and also cuz neither of them drove on the right racing line and their steering was very snappy so it made it very hard for the front to grip and actually steer into the corner

Ofc, LMP1s are designed for that kind of stuff while F1 is designed to maximize cornering speed. (Actually, there's a chance that the EVO could beat an F1 car at Suzuka bc its corner speed is close to F1 and its str8 line speed and acceleration are top tier)
The driver in the Porsche was clearly a worse driver than the one in Ferrari. Put two equally good drivers and the Porsche would destroy that Ferrari on this track period.
I've been seeing it a lot recently: the AI tends to shy off of possible, or even obvious overtake opportunities really quickly. Idk if the difficulty is too low or thats just how AC AI work, but i'd recommend getting an AI mod to make the racing a bit closer and chaotic.
Nkosi McRae I notice that a lot too, especially in the ones where he has a whole field setup. If I recall correctly in addition to the AI difficulty there is also an AI aggression option in settings. That would probably help out as well.
MopeyMo Down the straights, yes. But F1 cars have more than enough downforce to make a pass mid turn, which is an opportunity it had early on but gave up. You'll see this more effectively in vids where there's a bunch of cars like all the years of Ferrari F1, but a 1970 car comes out on top somehow and obviously it's not the fastest.
919 hybrid Evo has the edge when it comes to top speed. F1 has the upper hand in cornering acceleration and braking power. The two long straights really blew F1 out of water. However, it really caught up in the end. The result would have been drastically different if they had raced around a twisty circuit without long straights.

in reality, the POrsche should be faster in the chicanes and slow speed stuff at the end cuz of its AWD + traction control. The only place the F1 car could be faster is the Porsche curves and parts of the first sector.

Put two decent sim drivers and F1 will compensate the evo's incredible start by the time evo reaches the straights, use the downforce to get a better exit and just nicely tuck behind evo's split-stream to compensate the straight line speed disadvantage. Evo will still probably get a bit ahead on straights but every chicane between them F1 can and will go faster than evo to catch up and tuck back behind it to get a nice tow. Evo will be murdered as soon as them straights finish. If left alone Evo's 100% faster around Le Mans, but lets see this years F1 in Spa to get a proper comparison on a track where they both get their areas to shine with sector 1 and 3 for evo and 2 for F1. We've got evo's recent lap and can compare it to F1's quali.

the f1 can't reach speeds faster than 370 Luis. Since 2017 the cars have more drag and can't reach as high top speeds... The record wasn't set by the 2017/18 cars.

If I understand well , the 919 evo could on the top run races longer than 300 km. If I'm right, as the F1' rules become more and more complicated and unfair , just drop the F1 and let some real races occur , and forget rhe $ for real compétitions.

Nell’ultimo settore la 919 EVO perde molto perché è tutto curve e il downforce della F2018 non ha paragoni. Ovvio che sui rettilinei dove la EVO fa i 370 la F1 perda secondi..

E per questo ho scritto il commento sotto (quello in cui ti chiedo di portare un video delle due auto in un giro sincronizzato e cronometrato in schermo condiviso) per vedere come entrambe le auto se la caverebbero in modo effettivo in un giro senza l interferenza dell altra auto. The F1 car should be allowed to use DRS whenever the driver wants in this case, 'cause the straight line speed of the Ferrari is not showing its true potential.
Even with DRS the sheer horsepower disadvantage is very significant. The 919 EVO has an extremely powerful engine and SF71H has to play by the rules with the fuel flow limit.

Maybe, that ferrari is too much downforce or anything else. It's a shame to see it really slow to get 300km/h while the real F1 is capable to reach 320km/h easily on monza (real life F1)
It's significantly slower than the 2016 F1 car in a straight line, 340kph vs 360kph. But you can't have it all, cuz the 2016 F1 car was WAY slower in the corners and would have to wait much longer to get on the throttle, so in theory, the AVG speeds on the straights were no slower. The 919 Evo just has TOO much power and performance.

That Le Mans car was pushing 230 mph on some of the straights, so even with DRS, the Le Mans car would have still pulled away.

well there is an agression slider, but it won't help if the track AI itself isn't good which is the case on some mod tracks
