Excellent comparison. Long time iPhone user. The iPhone 14 Pro brings 33% of the Apple smartphone into 2022 with a higher resolution main camera. Before seeing this video, I had concluded that Apple finally addressed the extreme dynamic range issues. I see from this video, P6 still has an edge on Apple in my opinion. You are writing 48 mp and 50 mp so I assume that you took the photos in full resolution. Iphone does 48 mp only in raw right? Did you take the Pixel photos in raw too? How did you export the raw files?
2:40 The Pixel 6 Pro having choppy video is disappointing. 4:51 The iPhone is always comfortable blowing the highlights. 5:35 Do wish the Pixel has a smoother transition from the wide to the telephoto. 6:52 The color temperatures of both phones are wildly different. 9:06 The Pixel took a hiccup there with the change from wide to ultrawide.
Both are great options it comes down to personal preference. iPhone tends to be warmer and more punchy when processing pictures while the Pixel tends to be cooler and flatter with its image processing. Video is still better and smoother on the iPhone though and when it comes to lenz transitions pixel still has that jumpy action and moment of blur before it switches to the telephoto while the iPhone is more seamless.
iPhone’s oversharpening and overblowing is truly painful to watch and that way too high contrast… Pixel looks is DSLR-like, love it. And stellar telephoto compared to potato on iPhone. Pixel white balance sucks in low light, but overall performance in low light is very good.
Man. With all the ads and hype I was thinking iPhone 14 Pro will obliterate Pixel 6 Pro, but it's still Pixel 6 Pro for me as the winner in this comparison. Great pics. Sure, iPhone was better in a couple too but overall p6p wins.
@@phandroid I appreciate the review but 100% crops is how you review a sensor, and it's lens system. Plus this is a factor in 'crop-ability', i.e how much we can crop our images before they fall down. Some of us also print our images from our smartphones. If you review only at tiny mobile size you're actually reviewing the camera's processing, not the camera. I would suggest anyone taking the effort to specifically watch UA-cam for camera reviews is interested in the camera itself, not the processing....and they want 100% crops; these are also the reviews that get shared on camera forums, Mac forums etc.
Having an SLR set up to be a true to life 3rd comparison image would be useful. I've found my pixel 6 pro can take some awesome snaps but often the HDR is way over the top and things can end up not looking as they do in reality.
Why are all iPhone shots so yellow? Is it possible that because the 14th iPhone is new its postprocessing just sucks, and it maybe fixed with newer updates? Thank you for the comparison!
I think it's amazing what these two devices can do with photos and videos. We are kind of reaching the limits of the hardware and now it's just who does the best magic with software. Both are excellent.
Forget the camera, I'm in totally love with just how clear Pixel's mic records in a video. Iphone is too muddy and distorted while Pixel blocks every extra noise and you can clearly hear the speech. And the way it enhances the music playing in the background without making it too loud. It's just too great!! And in camera, they both are head to head but Pixel surely have an edge over iphone in processing as it outputs shots as close as a DSLR. Can't wait to see what wonders Pixel 7 will do !!!
This comparasion is just fantastic. One of the best detailed Ive seen. I prefer the look of the Pixel on photos, but the videos is little bit laggy compare to iphone sometimes. Just a little but still it is. I was just wondering - since Androids are not very well optimised for social media apps like insta, snap and tiktok, Ive actually watched some videos that S22 and Pixel is actually the best optimalised phones for the social apps. If you have a chance to do some comparasion between these two guys in therms of photo and videos on the social apps, that would be great to see the results too. Thumbs up
It seems some close up shots on iphone automatically shifted to ultrawide macro mode. (much less bokeh effect in background even with bigger maincamera sensor)
Excellent camera comparison, I must say Pixel 6 Pro is giving a tough time to the Apple's best iPhone 14 Pro in the camera department. It's obvious that the upcoming Pixel 7 Pro will definitely gets an edge over iPhone 14 Pro and even 14 Pro Max in the camera department as well as in the performance as well.
1:48 something wrong with the mic image for 14pro, it appears it switched to macro and reviewer didn't notice (since the 14 pro does have a quicker auto switch reaction to close subjects due to have a shamefully weak closest focus distance)

It's warner & cooler. That's personnel preference. Ip14 is warmer. Pixel is cooler. I prefer cooler even for photos & videos at night. It's refershing to the eyes. Ip14 is a bit too warm or would I say yellowish.
I find the iPhone pictures to be a bit too warm. You can see it clearly with the white balance at 6:52 in the video. The white cars are white in the Pixel 6 Pro video, but looks very yellow in the iPhone 14 Pro video. I noticed this on several of the iPhone pictures throughout the video. Also, the Pixel 6 Pro images seem to be clearer, sharper and have better contrast.
Coming as a Pixel user, I'm going back and forth between these 2. But if given the choice, I'll take the iPhone with a crisper/wider ultrawide and usable zoom, than the Pixel's excellent, crisp zoom photos but a softer, narrower ultrawide. I am consistently annoyed by my P6's flickering lights when taking video at sunset/concerts however, caused by the wonky EIS kicking in. But I guess the lens flares on the iPhone would be just as annoying.
i have a pixel 3xl, and i noticed that videos recorded on it have micro stutters at the start of the video for about 2 seconds and then its gone. i cant help but notice the same micro stutters on the pixel footages too on this video, and not only at the start of each footage but throughout it.
Both good 👍 must say I preferred the iPhone photos, the pixel photos looked a bit flat and underexposed. iPhone video better , plus it will look better on social media. I guess you can't go wrong with either - like cameras , do you buy a canon or a Fuji
Pretty close I’m stuck between choosing the iPhone 14 pro or new pixel 7 pro I been using android for years now but I’m getting a little frustrated with file location issues between apps which drives me mad, I just want to got to my files and use them not beat around the bush for ages trying to find them. I do think the iPhone took a better overall shot. The tele on pixel wins every time though. But, crazy to think the pixel is a year old… holding its own against apples best. Excited to see what comes with the pixel 7.
I am quite surprised by the images on the IPhone. Several reviewers are claiming it is already at the top of the tree photography wise but to my eyes it certainly is not. It's pictures are too warm and it's skin tones are awful on occasions. There is far too much saturation and over sharpening going on also. The Pixel takes much more natural looking and pleasing photos to my eye with noticeably better dynamic range.
They both have their strengths and weaknesses. Boil’s down to which phone to get? It’s a judgment call if you’re Apple user or an Android user. Meaning, stick to what you know and stay with that device. You can’t go wrong with either phones. iPhone going to have good photos/videos or not so good. Same with the Pixel. But, hands down, both deliver excellent photos and videos when it works. Excellent demo for both devices 😎
Been waiting for this camera comparison. They go back and forth. There are shots I like more on the iPhone and there are I like more on the Pixel. But video still goes for the iPhone. So I think overall, iPhone is the winner.

Very well presented. It's good to see both phones giving users exceptional shots. I think I'm in agreement with slight oversharpening on the iPhone. The noise floor during the video is striking, the iPhone audio needs to be tuned a bit, it's quite crispy.

Great Job. I have been looking for this comparision. The scenarios you cover are the one that I face daily. Pixelis my choice.
Great content as always, both of phone is awesome in imaging quality
Some nice music in the background going on. Thank you.
Pixel for photos. Especially that True Tone. Looks great.
But videos... I'm hoping Tensor 2 will boost the video quality.
Pixel video quality is pretty good. Just loses quality and looks naff on social media
With which camera model are you recording yourself though? The quality is great!
I'm impressed with how the P6Ps video quality holds up against the iPhone. As a P6P owner the ONE video feature I'm dying for is 24fps recording
Man. With all the ads and hype I was thinking iPhone 14 Pro will obliterate Pixel 6 Pro, but it's still Pixel 6 Pro for me as the winner in this comparison. Great pics. Sure, iPhone was better in a couple too but overall p6p wins.
Is this 48mp raw or 12mp jpeg images? So much info missing from a review.
Also why not 100% crops? It's the only way to actually see details?
These are 12MP images, exactly how they come out of the phone. The reason I don't do 100% crops is because that's not how images are viewed.
U deserve millions views .locations r beautiful. Where do u live?
Nice video 👍.
Was waiting for this
Having an SLR set up to be a true to life 3rd comparison image would be useful.
I've found my pixel 6 pro can take some awesome snaps but often the HDR is way over the top and things can end up not looking as they do in reality.
Agreed. I have a DSLR and mirrorless and much prefer their more subtle DR , plus my camera images aren't over sharp , yet they're extremely detailed
Great comparison video! Keep it up
Yes this is exactly what I wanted to see, thank you
Why is the pixel 6 video so choppy? It's like it's lagging or something. Looks awful.
It was a few points that I thought he was in a studio with the pixel audio. It sounds excellent here.
This is why I have the toggle enabled so I can prevent it from automatically switching.
Yeah, reviewer did not do a good job. Some of Pixel's close shots were out of focus as well.
Excellent no non-sense review, Thank you.
Iphone seems to have a closer focal length and noticeably more saturation.
1:48 something wrong with the mic image for 14pro, it appears it switched to macro and reviewer didn't notice (since the 14 pro does have a quicker auto switch reaction to close subjects due to have a shamefully weak closest focus distance)
This is what I am waiting for. Thanks
Is iphone warm and oversaturated?
I love my Google Pixel 6 Pro photos and videos
The 14 Pro takes great shots, but in the end I still lean towards the Pixel's blend of colors and balance in its images.
The battle we all really wanted!
Thanks for this test. I think that the P6P is very good (not always) as the I14p. The problem from the P6P is the overheating. When Google can clear this problem on the P7P, than i would buy this Smartphone
I´m from Germany and sorry for my english
Iphone 14 pro has the same oversharpening issue
@@lucaspanasski331 - thanks for your answer; but I mean overheating (from the smartphone and cpu) - not oversharpenig on the pictures
@@fiese-blauefrucht2688 sorry, i am drunk today 😉 i must say that my pixel 6 pro never really overheats , sometimes getting slightly warm , but never hot. I believe that some models of pixel 6 pro are faulty and have overheating issue. Fortunately i have only few small bugs, but not overheating or finger print unlock bug, like others have
It's warner & cooler. That's personnel preference. Ip14 is warmer. Pixel is cooler. I prefer cooler even for photos & videos at night. It's refershing to the eyes. Ip14 is a bit too warm or would I say yellowish.
u can use photographic style in ios to give ur photos a cooler bias
@@lukangahannington iphone is alot oversharpened and hdr is bad!
Definitely going to get Pixel 7 Pro
Look at the bottom at 9:33. They both have the lens flares there.
I'm curious if the warmer colors of iPhone are more accurate to the scene? I'm hoping Google improves the low light video on the 7 Pro
i have a pixel 3xl, and i noticed that videos recorded on it have micro stutters at the start of the video for about 2 seconds and then its gone. i cant help but notice the same micro stutters on the pixel footages too on this video, and not only at the start of each footage but throughout it.
Im using pixel 3 and im impressed with its camera
Still great picture and hdr photos and videos ❤️
My pixel 5 can still compete with that iPhone 14
💯
Excellent comparison. Advantage Pixel in photos in video neither surprised me. Let's see how the Pixel 7 compares to this ones.
My man's like Robin Williams without glasses
Very ... Very ...
INTERESTING vid ...
👍🏻
02:32 isn´t that blurred from shaking?
Both good 👍 must say I preferred the iPhone photos, the pixel photos looked a bit flat and underexposed. iPhone video better , plus it will look better on social media. I guess you can't go wrong with either - like cameras , do you buy a canon or a Fuji
Pretty close I’m stuck between choosing the iPhone 14 pro or new pixel 7 pro I been using android for years now but I’m getting a little frustrated with file location issues between apps which drives me mad, I just want to got to my files and use them not beat around the bush for ages trying to find them. Or even seem to wait for them to appear….
It's miles apart if you consider colour, pixel has way better authentic colours
iPhone comfortably wins on video. Photos tho are hard to call. Some i preferred the pixel some the 14 pro.
Pixel Is 😎🆒👍
I do think the iPhone took a better overall shot. The tele on pixel wins every time though. But, crazy to think the pixel is a year old… holding its own against apples best. Excited to see what comes with the pixel 7.
Prob the top 2 smartphone cameras right now. Can't wait to jump on the 7 Pro.
I think Xiaomi and Huawei make the best camera phones but they're not sold in U.S
Both are great for a smartphone but dislike iPhone's yellowish tint.
Coz Apple paid them.. Like famous tech
Loool, just put the Lg v60 ThinQ next to any of these phones. 👍
Been waiting for this camera comparison. They go back and forth. There are shots I like more on the iPhone and there are I like more on the Pixel. But video still goes for the iPhone. So I think overall, iPhone is the winner.
Pixel 7 Pro Stealthy in Black - James Bond 👌 and A Mans Jewel in the Hazel with the Gold bar , Wrist Jewelry , look at the flick of my wrist and Pixel 7 a green grape with matte gold bar, sexy and the faded White with the matte Silver bar it matches my boots
I hate that the P6 crops in so much for video stabilization
Oh I like it. Review front camera. I Think I love Pixel camera.
Very well presented. It's good to see both phones giving users exceptional shots. I think I'm in agreement with slight oversharpening on the iPhone. The noise floor during the video is striking, the iPhone audio
needs to be tuned a bit, it's quite crispy.
