You'd never expect to find seats to fit in there and look right - but these are perfect. You have to love people who keep things that they have no use for.
Really enjoyed your videos all year and wanted to say thanks for a great channel. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and Happy new year 🥳
The rubber loops to remake the seats can be taken from a camping shop. Tents use them to nail them to the ground. Mostly gray, fine for this rebuild, but for sure there are black ones out there too.
Should the owner ever decide to sell the car, the seats are by far the best USP ever. Not only do they look absolutely fantastic, the backstory to them make them priceless. Who wouldn't want to drive around in an AZU sitting in an aircraft seat!
Have you heard of the painter, Bob Ross? The welding, painting, and age-matching restoration along with your VO happily reminds us of his public TV show, The Joy of Painting.
Hi Seaside Garage, there are also inside excenters on every break shoe !!! . If those are missing, its almost impossible to gain a good pressure point and because of this a good brake value. Its key to regulate this all drum system perfectly!! Those round „excenters“ were sold quite often in 90ˋs, but were absolutly forbidden though ! Greetings from Germany, H.😊
11:46 Looks like the break pad is missing 1/3 of the pad. I tried that too with some brand new off brand brake pads. it then destroyed the brake drum (bremsetromlen) too because then the bare metal scratched the drum
Good call with the seats , absolutely perfect 👍 I’ve got VW stuff in my garage loft , had some of it 15 years already 😊 I don’t think I’ll be getting another old VW but you never know 😂 Ps the branch across the garage door makes me laugh every time, I notice it a while ago and it’s still there 😂
I'm not sure of the science behind why, but I was told by more than one 2cv mechanic (when I asked) that you are not supposed to put boot clamps on the outer lip (wheel side) of the driveshaft. It is meant to slide easily up and down the shaft, not be clamped in one spot, even though the boot is the accordion style...
I I enjoy your videos they are very interesting especially on the Citroen repairs! Question any GS or GSA models left in the world? Also look for Ami either 2cv or GS based super model those were very rear even back then!
Been watching a few videoes on youtube while waiting for bed time, and a few videoes after i watched yours the guy is showing 6 months test of lanolin. Lanolin does react with rubber as one side effect. Then i wonder, can it renew and soften old rubber that is used for your seats?. It might be worth a test if you have the stuff or can get it cheap.
UA-cam Automatic Dubbing: TURN IT OFF! Here one moment videos are in English, suddenly Portuguese, then French, back to English. All Ai. It s*cks big time. TURN IT OFF when uploading your contained. Thank you.
You put the fabric the wrom way round. The long part is the seat, the shorter is the back. Look at pictures of an original car.
HAHA! Whaaat! your right! ... Doh´!
Did somebody call? 😂 I absolutely adore this little van.
He then went-on to use Vice Grips - where's Derek? :)
It's a bit like restoring a painting rather than fixing a car.. :)
:P God jul!

I just love the well deserved smile at 6:14 when the idle speed is adjusted and you enjoy the healthy sound of the engine 🙂
Fantastic. My wife and I love to see your genuine smile and happiness when you have just the smallest of successes. Thank you so much....

Those seats are perfect for this project.

I really enjoy your “rusteration” ,it’s a pleasure to watch it!
I so want a Seaside Garage beanie hat but at the same time I love the bare bones style of this channel.
Those seats look perfect ❤
Those seat covers are perfect and l really like your rear brake drum removal tool spot on
The ol' AZU is looking really good. Nice job.
The seats look great! What a strange and interesting vehicle.
Thumps up for Peter👍, the seats look really nice.

I take that as a huge compliment! :D

They are there... did not touch them.. as long as the pads are centered it should be fine :)
The simplicity 😊
That was great almost the same repairs I am doing on my 63 I'm also trying to leave the patina they look great don't they.😍

They are supposed to look like that on this.. :)

If you want to let the new paint look "old" you can use a scotch red / or grey , a used piece . It make nice swirls😮
Nice to follow my old car😍
Its nice to see that "Hub Nut" gets a mention - he seems like a good guy too : )
Thank you!
Nice seats Seppo , simple but so efficient for sitting on 😁, basically what a seat needs to be 😂
Virkelig gode videoer. Du forklarer meget godt 👍. Min favourit bil er nok din Saab 900 turbo commander, den er en perle :)
Tak!
Den er også fed... Men den kræver lige en dyb vejrtrækning hver gang jeg går i gang med den... der er lang vej!
Cool. I've never seen brakes in a location like that or three studs holding on a wheel.
Welcome to a channel with lots of stuff you never seen before... :)
Love this van, like a pair of comfy shoes xD

hmm it rings a bell....

Have you pimped it out with under body lights???
Just goes to show, it's not a hoard, it's a useful collection of spare parts... :P

Bra film som vanligt.

Ha ha jeg har altid set 2cv-fælgen på din væg, som en pæn ledningsholder! 😄
Somehow I don't think these 2cvs are so easy to work on. But maybe I am prejudiced.
Restauré Citroën 2 cv
Do we know something about the life of this car? Who owned it as new, what they were transporting with it... Maybe some French cheese or wine? 😅
No... only that it lived in French... but probably wine and cheese.... :P

UA-cam does not allow to turn this shit off
