- Going tback to listen to more of The Warning from their first album. This is Copper Bullets and I chose the live performance at the Whiskey a Go Go in 2020.
Original Video: • The Warning - COPPER B...
Because this song is about a controversial subject, domestic violence, their parents were against releasing it. But the girls fought for it and it became a fan favorite.
Some recent fans of The Warning are more focused on the songs The Warning play in their current performances, but all of their early songs are equally good in lyrics and music. This song is a good example.
I was there that night. Ale blew the roof off the place with her bass!
It would be interesting to hear Dany sing it with her much stronger modern voice.
That's a Swedish flag. Fans few in from Sweden to catch the girls live in L.A.!!!
Every Warning song needs to be listened to with lyrics & the back story, if possible. Why? Because they are the most intellectual band to emerge in decades through their profound metaphorical takes on today's society. Their high level of musicianship & intelligent arrangement is half of their uniqueness. Its only when we delve into what they are saying that we realize how singular they are in today's shallow music scene.
Its mindboggling that 2 teens & a pre-teen have talked about domestic violence in Copper Bullets through insightful allegories. Nothing straight forward. As others have said before their parents opposed the release of this song in public - femicide being a sensitive topic. But the girls, convinced about the relevance of this song, stayed adamant.
"The broken glass starts falling down
Her golden blood spills on the ground
He grabs a gun, the empty sound
Copper bullets ran her way
Love will be her end"
🤯
Unfortunately most listeners don't prioritize lyrics nowadays because songs have been lacking depth since the '90s. To them a song is about head banging to fast solos & catchy riffs.
Thankfully The Warning are way more than that.
Copper Bullets lyrics remind me Janie's Got a Gun by Aerosmith 🤘😎🤘
This is my favorite song from XXl Century Blood. Such a power house song.
You should do the Dakota Bar concert so you can watch the evolution and why QOTMS was a huge revelation for the small number of fans that supported them at that moment. It was a big shift in their sound in every way, even though 21st Century Blood is still a classic. Imo one of the best albums I've ever heard.
This is in my top 5 of favorite TW songs regardless of the subject matter.
This and Shattered Heart from XXICB, RHNF (when Ale sings it and D2D from QOTMS and Martirio from Error with Animosity receiving honorable mention.
Ah, who am I kidding. I love a majority of their songs.
Pau , the drummer also sings this song lead , live at Lunario CDMX .
And in the Warning Cave with vocal sound effects and finger guns 😁
I might actually love this song more when Pau sings it…just slightly.
@@mjc1389 I know exactly what you mean , both versions are awesome and very little in it which one is best , just comes down to personal preference !
Great reaction Ancient Metaler! I was at this show and recorded this song -

It was my 1st (of 11 times) time seeing The Warning LIVE. I also got to meet and get my picture with them. There were TW fans from all around the world (and the US) there.
🗣 Thank you for ALL your support!
🤘🤓🍿
Such a great rocking song that again contains yet another very dark message of Domestic violence ending with murder suicide. They sure know how to write great songs on topics that need to be bought out into the light.
can't really hear it... but it's an amazing song.... the lyrics are rather violent, if I recall.... very heavy hard rock song telling a story of abuse and murder and the police coming in.... all within about 4 minutes.
⚡✌️🤟⚠️⚡ As always, Rock On!⚡✌️🤟⚠️⚡
De los primeros temas de The Warning ,Copper Bulets , excelente tema de rock clasico,TW y su rock inteligente
I🖤TW🤘
This song demonstrates their passion to take on disturbing topics couched in an catchy song. Also, had this song never made it onto this album I'm not sure QOTMS would have ever existed.
Excellent observation, never thought about that before. You could consider this their first murder song, LOL.
thanks for the reaction, your audio was like 100x louder than the music, i had to put everything on 10 to hear them, jus so you know, it may have been intentional idk, thanks for sharing
This was my first fav TW song, so even thought it has been a while and there has been many favs since, It really holds a special place in my heart. Fun Fact, their mum didn't want it included on the album, because of it's dark themes, but the girls pushed for it.
All you could ever wish for, right? This is it!
It took a while for this song to grow on me, but I like it a lot now. (Like someone said, better check your volume. The video was way too low.) There is a video from their basement (The Cave) when one of their fans was over playing drums on this song. Pau was walking around doing the bang, bang thing with her hands (don't know if that makes sense, you know, like kids pretending to have a gun. It's quite hilarious.) Thanks for the reaction!
yeah, i noticed that this morning. I don't know what's up. I'll have to spend some time and figure it out. The weird thing is I don't change my settings, but over time the audio just gets lower and lower. It is very frustrating and I apologize for it.
The bang, bang is because Pau & her sisters talk about copper bullets being fired in a domestically violent relationship.
@@TheAncientMetaler-1963 maybe we’re being hit by malevolent cosmic rays from space because my ear buds been doing the same thing, getting quieter and quieter. And I’m not going deaf. I don’t think. 😁
@@MrSudeepdas yes, of course.
@@TheAncientMetaler-1963 Here's the link to the video with superfan Matthew Fraser sitting in on drums and Pau singing lead, from The Warning cave:

Thanks! I new it wasn't America!
That was a joke.
Your mic is rather hot 🔊compared to the video sound, just saying...
