      Well ofc 😂, there is almost 20k citys/towns in the u.s. It would be near impossible to know them all or any of the random little ones not to mention useless. That could be 20k words to learn instead, that right there is the passive vocabulary of an average english speaker.

    Lincoln, NE
    Toledo, OH
    Fort Wayne, IN

    TIP: I played this game also, and here are some tips to get some cities:
    1. If you type in random president's name or famous American people's name, you would often get one or more cities. Like I did: Presidents: Roosevelt, Johnson, Garfield, Lincoln, Washington, Kennedy, Hoover, etc ; Famous People: Malcolm, Clay, Martin, Luther, etc.
    2. I also got some cities by typing in random foreign city names or countries like: Bethlehem, Palestine, London, Paris, Mecca, Jerusalem, Moscow, Amsterdam, etc.
    3. Sometimes adding "New" to a city also helps, like: New Berlin, New Paris, New Amsterdam, etc.
    I got a lot of these correct randomly by guessing.

    End of video: I can't believe he listed all these cities and missed San Jose.

    • @cogspace
      @cogspace 4 роки тому +10

      @Lucas Armitage San Jose is the 10th largest city in America. It's bigger than 173 (95%) of the 182 cities he named. In fact, if the makers of this map game updated its population data, they'd have to expand the list of cities over 1 million from 9 to 10 specifically to include San Jose. It is home to Cisco, PayPal, eBay, and Adobe, some of the most influential tech companies in the world.
      I would describe "headquarters of the companies that make the Internet work" as extremely relevant to basically everyone. Certainly everyone who uses UA-cam. This comment probably passed through a hundred discrete pieces of Cisco equipment on its way from my keyboard to your screen, for example. By any definition of relevance that could plausibly exclude San Jose, _every_ city is irrelevant to most people.

Also if you wanna double your score (at least the number of places), before you start change the settings from any states to all states. So many townnames exists in several different states.
