The regular Denali definitely is still very competitive within it's competition. You're still getting a very nice and premium truck without necessarily paying Denali Ultimate price tag figures. Overall, great alternative.
It's nice but not better than the Ram or Ford. I sat in one at the auto show and the seats are still hard and still lacks a panoramic moonroof. It's better but still needs work to catch the competition.

I Would Preferred The SLT Because It Is The Same Thing As The Denali. The 6.2L Big Boy V8 With A 10 Speed Automatic Transmission & A 3.42 Axle Ratio Which Is A Max Trailering Package Is My Favorite.
Lifter problems is keeping away from this truck. Exterior and interior design is great. I see problems with diesel too. Concerned about all the pollution tech reliability long term. I do like the design though.
I own one of these I recently purchased with the 6.2L, and hands-down even if it were more expensive than the Ford and RAM 1500's fully loaded, I'd pick this in a heartbeat. The sturdy feel of a truck mixed with nicely tuned suspension, comfortable seats, good looks, punchy engine, and very professional / high-end design and feel on the interior ... the other two trucks don't have anywhere near as nice an overall package. These new Sierras make the 2 other brands interior look a bit 'goofy' or bland; and ... the GM interior is much more functional in terms of the controls and placement etc. heated steering wheel button, on the wheel?? Woah ... ;) who would've thought to put that there. Physical buttons for the HVAC, and the ability to heat just your back, or seat and back? Cool ..
76K is a lot of money, but when you compare it to the F150 and the ram 1500 top models, it is way cheaper even with the ultimate, plus the styling, it’s so amazing and beautiful GMC has great designers right now, this is literally my dream truck…
Just did a build and price configuration for all 3, using the same build options. Virtually zero price difference between the Sierra Denali, Ram 1500 Limited and F150 Platinum. Now compared to the F150 Limited, there is a huge price difference between it and the standard Denali ($87k to $72k). However, that's where the Denali Ultimate comes in.
I don’t know what the big deal is on rear leaf springs. They are so helpful in towing. RAM doesn’t use them and I see my buddies have to supplement their rear suspension to tow anything
The reason I won’t consider a GM half ton is because there’s no other option than its ~24 gallon fuel tank. That’s unacceptable for any truck if it’s going to be used to tow over longer distances.
@@elonmust7470 You can't put the current engines in the same category with older LS based engines that never had AFM. The 2007-13 engines had a high failure rate. The problem seemed to be fixed with the 2014-18 models and then redesigned the system again in what, 2019 and screwed it up again. Also with all the changes GM has made since 2014 the horsepower and torque of the 5.3/6.2 are still the same. The pre AFM LS engines were the best. I went with the intention to buy a new Tundra and just couldn't bring myself to buy it. It feels so cheap even on a Platinum model! Don't get me started that most don't even include steps. The new Tundra is just like the previous generation. A wanna be American truck copy, but it fails miserably at it.
It’s the entry denali you can load up on options.. the “ ultimate “ is pretty much the higher model and only a couple options available cause it’s pretty much fully loaded
Gmc still battling itself for last place. It's honestly a joke how much less you get. They had the entire world saying they needed to catch up. They finally redo the interior and it's still a lack luster job. It's like Nike. They know it's a shit product but your paying for the brand and they know it. Fuckin Will Smith of trucks lol.
Don't forget those nice textured black plastic fender flares. You would think those would be painted on a luxury truck. At least they are on my lowly F150 XLT.
The regular Denali definitely is still very competitive within it's competition. You're still getting a very nice and premium truck without necessarily paying Denali Ultimate price tag figures. Overall, great alternative.
For 76K it would have to have a cab large enough to live in because I would be homeless after buying it.......
Ben NOBODY does rear seat headroom like you do! Best in the business!
Hell yeah brother!!!!! I love the 6.2 V8 so much!!!!

I agree 100%. Plus I’m way to scared on there reliability and quality issues still. Buy I like the looks but that’s it.
Better tailgate easier to work with

Perfection to me! Mines red. I converted from a 2016 Ford f150 lariat with v8.

I spec'd out an SLT with the 6.2L, and that alone came out to $67K. May as well get the Denali.
SLT is no man's land. Get the Denali active suspension and way better resale
@@KliqDon1983 resale is the only reason for up-trim, if it's for the long haul then slt with the Denali specs saves some in the long haul.

I have this exact same truck...except I have a sunroof and Super Cruise on mines.
No sunroof on a $76,000 truck 😂
Ya better watch out for them broken down at the dealer.
I wish they woulda put a electrical outlet in the back

Modern GM trucks are pretty, that's about it.
Great review! If the Denali costs less than a Ram Limited or F150 Platinum then it's a brainier which truck to purchase.
I was confused when he Said 8900lbs of towing with the 6.2, till I saw it was optioned with 3.23 gears 😒
No one’s scared when I’ve seen thousands of these things need a new motor before the first oil change.
Do you still think the F-150 feels more car like compared to the Sierra?
Keep up the good work!
Man this is my dream truck but can afford it yet
Just because 1 truck is $5k cheaper doesn't mean it's a deal when they're all over priced.
How comfortable are those seats compared to similar Ford and Ram seats?
No cellphone holder on the center console lid.
nice truck
76k what a joke! How greedy have these car companies got. I’ll stick with my 22 Laramie I leased for a great price.
76k is cheap compared to the others though
What’s that Laramie sticker for ?
