I still remember listening to this from way back in 1993 during my junior year of college in the US on Rousset's unparalleled "Pièces De Clavecin - Rameau” double CD from L'Oiseau-Lyre. It sounded so magical and different from any other piece of music I’d heard, whether Baroque or on keyboard, even harpsichord - I played it to one of my music major friends and he immediately said it sounded so “bright” because of the tuning - it wasn’t equal temperament tuning like JSB and WTC, but was meantone tuning (3rds equal-spaced between 1st and 5th) for each piece.
Rameau gibt mir echt was. Ein wahrer Jünger von musica. Blandine Rannou spielt da auch unglaublich gut.
Marvelous performance. All the voices are heard weaving in and out, with seeming effortlessness. Terrific instrument top to bottom. The basses have a wonderfully musical 'growl. '
Those hand crossings are mind-boggling! Bravo!
Divine performance by one of the greatest harphsicordists of the world.
@Joseph Mathew Merci
Une pure merveille.
Rousset is one of the greatest harpsichordists of our day.
Wonderful! Thank you Christophe... Such an exciting performance and instrument... Greetings from NZ

E Sokolov, allora? Tocco e varietà di piani sonori impareggiabili in Rameau e Couperin
Merci ♥️ ♥️ ♥️
If only they had let him play the whole piece! This starts in the middle...
which is absolutely bizarre, since the whole piece is only three minutes long...
Calme,luxe et volupté
Like that exquisite clavesinist and extraordinary musician looks like head of Marseilles dock mafia )
