I appreciate the video, because there is almost nobody talking about that. I got the tolino for Christmas and it often freezes. So I ordered the kobo to compare the too. Both have up and down sides. I like that the kobo is smoother to use, but I hate the graphic. It's great on tolino, but bad on the kobo. I love that the kobo store is not as present as the one on the tolino, but the tolino in general is way better to use in Germany than the kobo. I can download directly from the library, I can use skoobe and yeah I like the layout more, as the reader is showing me which book is mine and which I borrowed from the library and foe how long. The kobo doesn't let me know how long I have until the book stops working. Also I ordered a graphic novel which is perfectly formated on the tolino, but doesn't work on the kobo. I guess kobo really works better in every other country than the ones for the tolino. I wish tolino and kobo would put their heads together so we can have the best of both worlds in one. Would be amazing to have overdrive in Germany too. I wish though that the tolino would be a little more fluid in it's performance and not like an old smart phone. Also I could do with much less of the shop on the home screen. Tomorrow I will either have to get my not so well tolino replaced or give it back and instead take the kobo or give all of them back and use kindle, which seems to be the best of all of them, but the you are limited to the Amazon world and loose all the upsides of the public library stuff. 🙄
I use the old supernote, not the x series, its pretty good for ancient texts and displays intricate illustration as long as the pdf or scanned image are high quality, there's not a good zoom function though which would come in handy for medical illustrations and no back light
I had the same problem with battery life and it was gone after resetting the device to factory defaults once. Make sure you have the latest firmware before resetting.
I like Libra2 hardware, therefore I like this one too. But this seems to have even more limited software than Libra2, so pointless for me ... :( It may make sense for someone living in Europe.
i rlly want an e ink tablet/monitor or whatever it is only for document typing like google document or microsoft word, is there any recommendation for me?
Dasung 103 of course, by miles the best device on the market, 5 times faster than all of these Kindle/Onyx/Kobo toys. You can use it as a tablet, and a monitor, as it has a mini hdmi port.
truth, nothing is a s responsive as the kindles, glowlight 4 has the same lag as glowlight 3 and the 7" glowlight plus. I wish I could find a suitable alternative to the oasis...
Apart from the software exactly the same ereader as the Kobo Libra 2. Oh, and apart from the fact it has double the amount of RAM and half the amount of storage. Jeez.👎
this came out right when i was looking through epaper phones... love the new progress of e-ink displays this year
Yeah it's been great. Check out the BIGME
It's insane

The tolino is using a quad core processor, the Libra is using dual core
So is the software on the kobo one better or worse?
What e ink tablet do you think os yhe best for pdf and reading an ebook say of a medical book? Thanks and more power 😁

So many E-ink devices! I love it!
It never ends, and we are back logged !
Since when can you buy a tolino outside of germany austria or switzerland?
Always
We have been a distributor of theirs since they launched.
How about the battery problems? Mine has a battery lifetime of a mere day. Not in any instance satisfactory

"the european language" which one is that?
I don't know, but it's an american brain obviously :))

It works with android so you can just run other apps on it. Get a good android pdf reader and it'll function properly.

Maybe Onyx Boox Mira is your choice?
Does anyone know if updates would improve the quality? I’d still buy one to add to my stash.

the internals of the vision 6 and the libra2 are different. vision 6 has more horsepower for their buggy android system.
Had already a Tolino 3HD. The slowest ebook reader I ever had (from 2010 Sony till today models…). Their software is too heavy. Much better Kobo.
I own tolino vision 4 hd and it is damn too slow. I regret selling my paperwhite.

Jeez.👎
It is a slow device with many negative reviews
