This story was my daughter's story - the weaknesses in connecting sounds and symbols, especially showing up in writing/spelling. The strategies and information in the Laying a Path classes have made a huge difference and my daughter's growth in writing and spelling AND confidence has been amazing!

My daughter is definitely similar to this at age 10. Would foundations be the class to take now or would you suggest all of the classes mentioned in the video?

Foundations is the class to take!! This video was created when we provided some of these classes separately, but we have since combined the Phonics & Spelling, Word Study, and Vowel Chart classes (and added so much more) into our new Foundations for Teaching Reading, Writing & Spelling class. Foundations will teach you all the nitty gritty details to shore up the underlying essential skills for strong reading and writing.

@@rootedinlanguage ok, thanks for clarifying! Hoping to sign up for that class soon, but likely going to start pinwheels year 2 to get the ball rolling.
