Thanks again for this Andre... these seem to get better and better all the time. BTW. Do you use the FCB1010, EFC-7 or your fingers when you preform with the EDP? I noticed David Torn tends to use his fingers on the buttons...

Hi Steven - thanks very much! 99.9% of the time that I play, I use the FCB1010 to control the EDP. For most of these videos, however, I'm using just fingers on the front panel, because I want to have a very direct and obvious connection between what buttons I'm pressing and how those buttons (or combinations of buttons) are affecting the EDP. I find that this stuff can get a little nebulous if I'm using a MIDI pedal, so for demonstration purposes, it's front panel and fingers.

Good video, I was throwing around the idea of getting the new Headrush looper but then I remembered the Echoplex and this is so much more my style. One question, does the Echoplex accept midi? If so, could you set it up to where it would automate the next loop button? If you could do that then that would open a huge world of possibilities, playing some rhythm with whatever midi controller or sequencer and having the midi messages sent then loop on any Echoplex button. If it doesnt have midi I bet you could mod each of the buttons to accept a jack and just send it control voltages from a beat step pro or something of the like.

Thanks for watching! (And for your comment in the other thread.) Many, many MIDI possibilities: ua-cam.com/play/PLRjhe9qWtn006WVcOAYdDIp2EanP8Ck-i.html
And, I've done a whole series on "sequencing" MIDI commands: ua-cam.com/play/PLRjhe9qWtn02al8bBq5tFGiXieW4RmOgK.html

@@andrelafosse You sir, are a national treasure haha wow thanks for all the help here, I seriously had no idea the Echoplex was capable of so many unique things, I almost would want to get a small looper like a EHX 720 to record awesome sounds coming from the Echoplex and then layer those as well.

if you actually allow us to listen to what you did before pushing buttons so much, I might have been able to follow . You need to redo this and consider the demonstration more than your own fascination. Every time I tried to hear what the machine was doing, you interrupted by pushing more buttons.

Thanks for taking the time to tune in. I'm always thinking about how I can improve these videos, so I appreciate the feedback. Let me ask: are you coming to this video as an EDP user? And/or, have you watched the videos on Insert and SUS Insert, prior to coming to this one?

"Every time I tried to hear what the machine was doing, you interrupted by pushing more buttons." Correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure the whole point of this video is to push said buttons and have them do what they did in the video? Thats how you would hear what the Echoplex is doing? lol
